The Premiership is always talked about over here in Italy, a lot of games are on TV and enjoyed by the Italians so it cant be a bad league at all. How much Italian Football is shown on TV in the UK?

I think alot of lower league fans have some sort of warped superiority complex when it comes to thoughts of the the Premiership.Its just an absurd jealousy,the Premiership is rightly the Holy Grail and denying that is deluded.

If we got to the Premier League I'd embrace it and have a great time.... As long as we were the little club from Wiltshire taking on the world, like last time. I like supporting a small team and I'd hate us to not enjoy the experience.

On the whole, I love the lower leagues - yes it's not pretty but it's home! When I've been to Premier games it's just been soulness and the things they worry about are trivial compared to what us lower leaguers suffer.

You can get all of these things in this division including at our very own ground.The County Ground had moany areas and lets face it the atmosphere is diabolical.

.Its stupid to suggest that all Premiership grounds are full of plastics,most have areas that "day trippers" go in but the majority of seats are taken by season ticket holders that spend alot of money for that right.I dont think a plastic would do that.Thats not to say that these teams dont have plastic fans,its just that these plastics watch from their living rooms not from the stadiums.

I have been to a few arsenal prem game with season ticker holders and you are surrounded by moaing wine drinking plastic twats.

2. Sits the whole way throughthe game.
3. Claps when the other team scores.
4. Never swears or is hostile in any way.
5. Doesn't drink.
6. Drives to the game.
7. Leaves early "to avoid the taffic.
8. Has never been to an away game.
9. Will ditch the club when they lose a few games.
10.Thinks the premership is the bee's knees.
11. Has sky sports and sentanta
12. You have no opion on football other than that of gary linker.

If you do most of these things you are a plastic cunt.

Its not so much plastics that get on my tits, its fans who have only really come into the game during the Sky era.

I remember when i went to Uni in Newcastle in about 1992 (I amanged to move up there there the year of the 7-1 drubbing) football was at a very low ebb and it wasn't really the kind of thing that you mentioned when you met people, but Sky changed all that and expanded the interest which is probably a good thing.

But we now seem to have thousands of supporters of the big 4 who don't seem able to admit or even acknowledge that football existed prior to the Premiership, have little interest in the game as a whole and thus have a very skewed idea of its history etc - Tim Lovejoy being the prime 'celebrity' example, which lead to the Premiership great all other leagues small fry opinions that get banded about by the media!

Whilst some of the small clubs do tend to buck the trend it doesn't last, I was impressed with Hull and Stoke earlier in the season, but both managers have started to disappear up their own arses, with Phil Brown already starting to talk about himself in the third person!

Still love to see us up there though!

Premier League shit or not depends on what type of fan you are.

If you are fan type #1, like sitting down at football, and go in a group of under 4 people, and dont drink around football, and just generally take football at face value then I think the Premiership for you is really good.

If you are fan type #2, like to drink around football and try and get a bit more out of it then I think its too expensive. Because the cost of a Premier League match ticket + drink + public transport is just going to get stupid money. Numbered tickets are a pain as is the policing at top flight games. Your'e better off in the lower leagues.

Myself, I think there is room for both types of fan at all levels of the game.

my view on a plastic fan is someone who jumps on the success of a team once they start producing results/winning titles etc.

like Chelsea and Man UTD. the amount of fans which suddenly appeared through there success and the hype surrounding them brought on by Sky Sports and the local press has moved fans from the smaller clubs (like us) and turned them into plastic fans. Hanging onto success without ever going to see them.

people who go to games alone, or with a mate and don't drink can't be classed as plastic. For all we know they've been doing that for years. My GF's dad goes without fail to the baggies with his 3 mates and doesn't drink etc and he drives. Doesn't do away games as when they're away he supports his other local team, Halesowen Town. To me he's got his feet firmly on the footballing ground.

Plastic fans are those with no connection with a club apart from seeing them win something on the telly.

Franchise fans who go to the games arent plastic....they're just cunts who follow a club who purchased a league status...and to me thats unforgiveable.
