Title: Paul bodin Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Friday, January 2, 2009, 18:21:28 See in today Adver he is saying how the youths should be given a chance. Bit harsh really as in the last year about 8 of them have been in the first team squad i doubt many other teams have had this amount. Unless he means billy of course
Title: Re: Paul bodin Post by: JPC82 on Friday, January 2, 2009, 18:27:24 billy isnt good enough
Title: Re: Paul bodin Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Friday, January 2, 2009, 18:31:43 We know that shame his dad doesn't
Title: Re: Paul bodin Post by: Spencer_White on Friday, January 2, 2009, 20:01:09 To be fair, if we are paying £70k for Casal of course they should be given a chance!
Heard Bodin speak recently, and I have to say he really impressed with his intellect and judgement and just cares about the club as well. Title: Re: Paul bodin Post by: yeo on Friday, January 2, 2009, 20:02:29 Billy Bodin is an ace proper footballers name,if he doesnt make it then no one should.

Paul Bodin is quality, knows his stuff and the whole youth team love him, will be swindon manager in years to come Title: Re: Paul bodin Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Friday, January 2, 2009, 20:21:46 How many players has bodin produced. Genuine question just seems to be players we know of gettin a mention all the time.
Title: Re: Paul bodin Post by: JPC82 on Friday, January 2, 2009, 20:24:17 hes got players playing alot better than they did before he took over, Lloyd has 20+ goals already, Jamie Taylor has about 15, Nathan Thompson is flying at the moment, he brought through Will Evans who is quality, could be better than Morrison
Title: Re: Paul bodin Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Friday, January 2, 2009, 20:28:15 Ah fair play then like i say just think it its harsh saying give them a chance when they clearly are being given a chance
Title: Re: Paul bodin Post by: JPC82 on Friday, January 2, 2009, 20:30:45 Ah fair play then like i say just think it its harsh saying give them a chance when they clearly are being given a chance i think what he was saying was more to get them thinking that if they train hard and play well they will get their chance under Wilson cos Malpas didnt really involve any of them Title: Re: Paul bodin Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Friday, January 2, 2009, 20:33:52 Thats fair enough
Title: Re: Paul bodin Post by: JPC82 on Friday, January 2, 2009, 20:34:54 Thats fair enough good management, Martin O'Neill is the best at it, saying all bollocks about Ashley Young Title: Re: Paul bodin Post by: The Professor on Friday, January 2, 2009, 21:51:47 Yes, read his comments and it sounds good. My only worry is that seems to be a dearth of Reserve fixtures arranged for the up & coming kids to enhance their careers & show their worth in. Someone on here suggested a while ago arranging fixtures against other League One clubs that have a similar pedigree. Otherwise how are Jake Hyde, Macklin, Taylor or Thompson going to get a chance to develop further unless they play more frequently against better class opposition?
Title: Re: Paul bodin Post by: chalkies_shorts on Friday, January 2, 2009, 22:47:24 Too many useless fuckers from the first team squad blocking their way - hopefully Wilson will sort this.
Title: Re: Paul bodin Post by: leefer on Friday, January 2, 2009, 22:52:24 The fact is there not even getting many chances for the reserves.
Title: Re: Paul bodin Post by: Simon Pieman on Friday, January 2, 2009, 22:54:31 Isn't a simple solution to get rid of a lot of the playing staff. Then JPCers would have to play in reserve games and provide first team backup options and opportunities.
Title: Re: Paul bodin Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Friday, January 2, 2009, 22:56:58 But some may not be ready yet. Whats the point of playing them for the ressies when our fringe players need games.
Title: Re: Paul bodin Post by: chalkies_shorts on Friday, January 2, 2009, 23:03:15 Because a lot of our fringe players are tried and trusted wankers - pretty much like our first team players. Why not give youth a chance? Even if they're shit at least they'll try unlike most of the useless so called experienced fuckers and they're cheaper. I'd rather try 10 and find one diamond than continually playing either washed up cunts or someone elses reject cunts that will never be.
Title: Re: Paul bodin Post by: yeo on Friday, January 2, 2009, 23:06:24 Maybe we should get forum team to give them a game.
JPC can play and relive the glory days! Title: Re: Paul bodin Post by: JPC82 on Friday, January 2, 2009, 23:07:52 Maybe we should get forum team to give them a game. JPC can play and relive the glory days! i can just about manage 5 a side these days Title: Re: Paul bodin Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Friday, January 2, 2009, 23:12:17 In theory chalky thats the best way but we know its not that easy
Title: Re: Paul bodin Post by: chalkies_shorts on Saturday, January 3, 2009, 00:19:29 Depends on your conviction. We know our fringe players are complete and utter dross - Malpas signed some real shit. We've got more to gain than to lose. If we can establish oursleves as a team that gives youth a chance then they'll get the benefit of the doubt and we can flog ordinary players for more dosh a la Crewe.
