Classic mistake.....not upgrading assistants after a couple of decent results, should be a guiding principle. I'm glad we didn't end up with DB.

Despite the fact he's Scottish, he comes across quite well. I don't like Sunderland much but I do like Niall Quinn so best of luck to them.

Have been telling this to the heretic Geordie at work.

The players have made sure he gets the job because they know they will get an easy ride. It will all go downhill pretty soon as the discipline and work ethic from the Keane era starts to wear off. Bit like Ardiles was a perfect man to follow Macari, but after a while the fitness went and so on. Sunderland havnt got a lot of points, could well see them get relegated.

good deal by Niall Quinn. Sunderland have played well under Sbragia since Keane left. only bleamish was the 1-0 defeat at Manchester United where Sunderland held out for so long. He has got Cisse and Jones playing well.

Talking of #2's stepping up - wonder how long Adams will last at Fratton Park. Surely not until the end of season.

For the record, could care less if Sbragia does well or does shit,

But your obviously worried how Adams will do....he will make a very good championship manager at this rate hopefully.

Adams will probably lose two or three more stars in January window.
They might be worth a punt to go down at quite a large price.

I think you are right about him losing his job, after the success at Portsmouth under Harry, Adams job was never going to be a safe one if the results did not go his way.

Distin wants to leave does he not.

Me beginning to think Pompey are going into turmoil!
