Title: John Batchelor Post by: Summerof69 on Monday, December 8, 2008, 12:56:38 I wouldn't want this guy taking over any club...

I read on teletext yesterday his bid had been rejected (thus far anyway). Obviously I recognised him as we share a surname, but equally as much as remembering how he tried to rape and pillage York City. What a wanker. Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: magicroundabout on Monday, December 8, 2008, 13:04:57 what a cunt
Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: swindon-chap on Monday, December 8, 2008, 13:15:41 I'd be worried right now if I was Chester fan. He's one arrogant cunt.
Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: Ardiles on Monday, December 8, 2008, 13:46:07 A vile little man.
Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: SwindonTartanArmy on Monday, December 8, 2008, 14:23:24 what a fucking twat!
Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: Simon Pieman on Monday, December 8, 2008, 14:33:00 The blokes so deluded. He slates the fact only a couple of thousand fans fund the club (and cannot do so) yet he is alientating them all. Can't see why it's a good investment opportunity, if that's all he is interested in.
Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: leefer on Monday, December 8, 2008, 15:39:52 No wonder he lives on his own.
Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: Samdy Gray on Monday, December 8, 2008, 15:46:46 I'd just like to echo magic's feelings - what a cunt John Batchelor is.
Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: nevillew on Monday, December 8, 2008, 15:57:47 Chester might end up in the soup.
Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: thepeoplesgame on Monday, December 8, 2008, 16:06:18 Puts taking a little bit longer than some of us might have liked to appoint a new manager into some perspective, eh? What a cunt.
Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: jayohaitchenn on Monday, December 8, 2008, 17:00:17 Only slightly less of a cunt than Wilkleman. At least this one is honest I suppose.
Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Monday, December 8, 2008, 17:46:04 Fuck me, is that a wind up????
What a cunting twat. That's about the most polite description I can think of for him. And Chester fans probably thought it was bad enough having 'Bleo' as assistant manager ::) Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: axs on Monday, December 8, 2008, 17:46:53 What an open and honest cunt.
Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Monday, December 8, 2008, 17:56:46 I like him
Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Monday, December 8, 2008, 17:58:09 Back in March he was trying the same thing with Mansfield:
http://www.chad.co.uk/stags/AUDIO-John-Batchelor-talks-about.3926462.jp The key part of his master plan seems to be changing the name of whoever he buys, to Harchester United ??? Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Monday, December 8, 2008, 18:02:00 Maybe he thinks every game will actually be on sky1
Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: Ardiles on Monday, December 8, 2008, 18:11:10 The key part of his master plan seems to be changing the name of whoever he buys, to Harchester United ??? Which, of course, explains why he's interested in Chester City because they already have the 'chester' bit as part of their name. If he doesn't pull it off there, Man U, Man City and Colchester should all start worrying. Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: pauld on Monday, December 8, 2008, 18:12:32 This bloke is a fantastic example of why the League's Fit and Proper Persons test is so inadequate. As if we needed another one
Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: STFC_Gazza on Monday, December 8, 2008, 18:53:51 What a cunt. Glad he didnt get near us.
Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: oxford_fan on Monday, December 8, 2008, 19:12:08 This bloke is a fantastic example of why the League's Fit and Proper Persons test is so inadequate. As if we needed another one indeed. people like this shouldn't be able to come close to owning an existing football club. Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: Simon Pieman on Monday, December 8, 2008, 20:11:59 This bloke is a fantastic example of why the League's Fit and Proper Persons test is so inadequate. As if we needed another one There should definitly be a question in there: Have you ever, or do you ever intend to change the name of a football club to that of a rubbish television programme? Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Monday, December 8, 2008, 21:01:26 Chester's owner has quite rightly told him to go forth and multiply..

Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: janaage on Monday, December 8, 2008, 21:10:14 Which, of course, explains why he's interested in Chester City because they already have the 'chester' bit as part of their name. If he doesn't pull it off there, Man U, Man City and Colchester should all start worrying. In a QI kinda moment, if a place name contains the word "chester" "cester" or "caster" in the name it means that it was once the site of a roman army camp as it's derived from the word "castra" which is latin for camp. I'm not sure if Bicester actually had two roman settlements there, but I wouldn't be surprised. Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: lambourn red on Monday, December 8, 2008, 21:19:09 The bloke sounds like a complete lunatic shame it is not Oxford he is looking at.
Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Monday, December 8, 2008, 21:23:01 Wouldn't even wish this tosser on them
Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: Reg Smeeton on Monday, December 8, 2008, 21:25:38 I'm not sure if Bicester actually had two roman settlements there, but I wouldn't be surprised. Think they had an open minded approach to sexuality. Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: Hexagon on Monday, December 8, 2008, 21:41:11 In a QI kinda moment, if a place name contains the word "chester" "cester" or "caster" in the name it means that it was once the site of a roman army camp as it's derived from the word "castra" which is latin for camp. I'm not sure if Bicester actually had two roman settlements there, but I wouldn't be surprised. Bicester had at least one Roman settlement that i know off. Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: Batch on Monday, December 8, 2008, 23:03:30 In a QI kinda moment, if a place name contains the word "chester" "cester" or "caster" in the name it means that it was once the site of a roman army camp as it's derived from the word "castra" which is latin for camp. I'm not sure if Bicester actually had two roman settlements there, but I wouldn't be surprised. But of course the cester/chester/caster are merely indication of the once Roman occupation, a more recent naming convention and not the Roman name for the place itself. e.g. Cirencester was Corinium, Chester was Deva (hence the Deva Stadium), and Gloucester was Glevum Colonia. One thing I didn't know that I foun while googling the roman names was that Swindon had a Roman Settlement (?) and was known as Durocornovium, according to here anyway: http://www.pubquizhelp.com/hist/romaname.html (edit: oh it's Wanborough, that makes sense) Oh, and soapy tit wank @ Hexagan Title: Re: John Batchelor Post by: THE FLASH on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, 15:04:42 Only slightly less of a cunt than Wilkleman. At least this one is honest I suppose. Only just......not enough money to buy league status.....but another cunt just the same.. |
