Reminds me of the Milwall fans last game of last season. I know it was Milwall but that was one of the grossest overreactions I'd ever seen.

From my experience the Police tend to cause more trouble than they stop at football matches. QPR away and Hereford a few years ago instantly spring to mind.
At QPR we were marched away from the ground in one mass group and the people at the back were getting whacked in the legs by coppers with batons to speed them up to stop the horses trampling on them...........how about just not have the horses there in the 1st place, hitting people for no reason is hardly acceptable.

Hereford a couple of years ago was almost a disaster, outside the ground keeping everyone penned up after the game almost caused a crush and then at Hereford station they wouldn't let any of our fans onto the platform until after 6 and then tried to force everyone onto the same train.

and the last game at QPR we had when kingy was here we all left peacefully to the coaches etc with not an ounce of trouble. Was our playoff season if i remember correctly. Lost 1.0 and filled both tiers of the away end.

Did you imagine that?

thing is (if it's the same game i'm thinking of) at QPR a few years back our supporters mixed with theres in the springbox quite well. both having banter, singing about hating City and enjoying the day. not one ounce of trouble or a mounted police officer in site

You must have been at a different game! the police horse came onto the pitch at the end.
