May aswell start the annual FM Thread! Who has got it then? Is it any good?

I've got the PSP version with the PC coming at Christmas.

Put it this way, the PSP version is lacking McNamee, Morrison and the entire yoof team. They've had to kill of loads of detail for the rather crap 2D pitch, which you irritatingly can't turn off.

i have played the demo but want to get an opinion of the full version! Is it pretty simular to 08 in terms of running speed!?

got swindon promoted to championship in 1st season, sat 15th at the mo after 10 games

FM08 runs super fast

What makes you say that?
If it runs like '08 (which on my pc is pretty dam fast) then there isn't a problem

so it does run as fast as FM08?

the 3d engine is much smoother in the real game than on the demo, works fine for me and im running it on vista with minimum specs.

I hate the 3d engine... 2d traditional all the way for me.

Can anyone paste what the patch fixes, as i can't get to the website from work? There are a few bugs i'm hoping are ironed out.

Got to love that we got rid of Malpas the day it was released. Straight to the editor.

i purchased this last night and have only played a couple of friendlies on it.

the 3d match engine is ace. runs so smoothly even when on fast highlights.
i also liked the press conference bfore my season started so the press can guage your personality etc. think i fucked up on some of my answers cos apparently i'm not an ambitious manager

if your playing as a prem team i have noticed the price of players is much more realistic, started a man city game and i got marcelo (LB Real Madrid) for 4.5mil  guiseppi rossi (AM/F villareal) for 12.5mil, andiey arshavin (12.5 mill)

im still not sure if i like it or not tho

i like it. seems to be smoother than FM08. Was a bit unsure about the Steam account etc as that used to mess my pc up when running Half Life 2 but it was fine last night!

Can't wait to get back on it and see how i go with Swindon. but i only had a starting transfer budget of £50k. Sold Sturrock to Wrexham though for £2k  :D and got Ronnie Walwork in on a free  :D

season 1 50k promoted to chamionship
season 2 predict i will aviod religation and get 150k i finished 18th
season 3 predict i will do a top half finish and i only get 500k

I don't like it. In my Spurs game none of my strikers can score (Pavlyuchenko, Cavani, Pazzini), i have half my first team squad injured at all times, and processing the midweek International fixtures takes forever.

i've not got too far into the game yet to notice anything serious or running issues.
Helps if your pc and graphics are good though.

What i also like is when in 3d mode Paynter scored and ran off doing the shearer celebration (one arm in the air) made me chuckle

My performance rating is higher than the recommended, and i don't use the 3D match engine... games run fine, it's just the midweek processing when you don't have a game that is a bit slow.

2D all the way for me...!

i'll have another spin tonight to see how it all works for me. not started a season yet so not everything is running.

I've got Ian Pearce on a free, and Freddie Sears on a season long loan.

Not doing to bad! Only lost 1 game in my last 12 and that was away to Wolves! Im finding this much more realistic then previous fm's! I like the press interaction and the option to go watch england trialists! I have heard alot of people having trouble with installing and authenticating the game! Mine took around 2 mins with no problems!:D

have you used the patch? i have, and have the same problem with my strikers.

oxford have a budget of £0. patchy start to the season possibly due to 6 players in on loan, but i'm 4th after five or so games. hopefully i'll get the nack of the tactics soon.

finished 2 seasons, just about to start my 3rd. I dont get out, its literaly work/fm/sleep/wakeup/fm/work/fm/sleep
