Title: This evenings football....
Post by: Rich Pullen on Tuesday, November 4, 2008, 19:49:43
A bit of football on this evening including the JPT.

Thus far all 0-0 except at Shrewsbury, who look like continuing their march to Wembley - 3-0 up against Dagenham & Redbridge at half-time.

Also, some of that European football too.

Swindon Youths are 1-0 up through Lloyd Macklin too.

I've got CNN on mainly because the Liverpool game is just as dull.

(on my own, on my own, on my own)

2-0 Macklin again.

Sounds like he is putting on a bit of a show according to the OS.

Sounds like he is putting on a bit of a show according to the OS.

Am I right in recalling that Lloyd Macklin is the youngest ever player to play a competitive match for Swindon (or does the JPT not count :) )

Colchester 1-0 at Bournemouth.

Sounds like he is putting on a bit of a show according to the OS.

I want Macklin to be given a chance this year, raw talent and attitude, good combo.

Brighton pulled one back, 1-2 against Derby

The Chelsea game is dull.

It was reflected in Chelsea's lethargic defending for Panucci's goal.

Lethargic? Non-existant.

Strange sending off. Second half was at least more interesting than the first.

If that was a foreign going down like that these commentators would not be singing the praises of a player going down like that and scoring the pen.

What is it with these "without Torres" comments - Spurs aside (which they should have got a point at least) they've coped quite well without him.

I know what you mean does not sound no where near as good as blue square does it. Tried losing a few games this year it seems.

Can we use this excuse in JPT? Fuck it - I'm using it on Saturday if it goes horribly wrong :D

all part of the masterplan to lull them into a false sense of security. you don't want to peak too soon you see, otherwise teams get wise to you being good at football. remember newcastle in 1998? exactly. we don't want that. a second half of the season ambush has been proven to be by far the best way to gain promotion. we just need to win an away match and we may have a very slight chance.

are you still in the mighty Johnstone's Paint Trophy? another prestige competition that one.
