I understand the feelings of the lady this morning, better to know where your daugher is rather than being on the street being raped or beaten up.
I've never been involved in the drug culture so for people like me it is hard to understand, just listening to the mum today just thought what a brave person, but what comes next in your childs life, you cant be there all the time.

It helped yeah took a while to realise how hard that must of been for her then realised why she did it. Soppy as fuck but religion helped aswel as my family.

Now i would never have expected a comment like that from you about religion.

In the last two years I have found myself praying a hell of a lot and probably there is no one out there to hear me, but it seemed to help me.
Just dont know why.

None taken dell, my view is if praying helps the individual and they dont push there beliefs down others throats then it can't hurt. I do not mention it much as i know alot on here have no interest.

I felt sorry for them in a way. I know I shouldn't but it was a terrible and awful state to get in. Agree'd that Heroin should be prescribed. At least you can guarantee it would be safe.

the problem is with methadone they get hooked on that.

Its lucky no kids were involved. My missus has had to deal with babies who have been addicted to heroin (cos of the mum). Sad. Half the time the baby has to be taken into care once ok to leave hosp.

Erm isnt it better to be addicted to Methadone that you can get from the Doctors than be addicted to Heroin from the street?

By all accounts, Methadone is more addictive than smack and harder to quit using.  But as you say, at least you know its clean gear.

I've never done smack but I had Methadone when I was in hosputal a couple of times and the buzz was ace but I fell asleep afer 5 minutes.

Methadone is more addictive yeovil and believe it or not can have longer term affects than heroin. I honestly think prescribing heroin would work with the right help it would take years to see the results but crime,deaths drug dealing etc would be cut imo

Not really no i only had it twice, its more just to stop the clucking for a few hours depending on dose. Last time i looked methadone was only available to around 5 percent of addicts. Waiting lists about 9 mnths

is that due to the cost of methadone then?

Possibly tans more to do with reluctancy to help addicts i would of thought though
