Title: RyanAir Post by: Sippo on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 07:36:21 I fookin hate them.
Flights for two people are free. For 4 people £9.99. It then goes up and up. To book 15 people the flights are £120! Then on top you've got all the baggage, card fees etc....grrrrrrrrrrrr. Surely the more you book the cheaper it should be!! >:( Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: Bob's Orange on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 07:44:07 I have mates coming over on November flying into Frankfurt Hahn from Glasgow Prestwick. When they booked earlier in the year, they were due to land at 2.30 in the afternoon which gave them plenty of time to get the bus from Hahn to Luxembourg and I would meet them after work, get something to eat and then go to the Streets gig which starts at around 9pm.
However last week, Ryanair have changed the flight times and they now get into Hahn at 7.30pm which means I have to drive like a looney down to Hanh to collect them, drive back to Luxembourg in the hope that I can make the gig on time. If there is any traffic and I miss the gig I'll be sending Ryanair the bill. I hate them as well Sippo, personally I would rather pay a bit more, be treated like a proper human being as opposed to cattle, get a proper allocated seat with more room than that you may find in a hamster's cheek and actually land somewhere near the city you are flying to without having to get a bus 2 hours away. Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: Sippo on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 09:26:25 But thats a pain in the right arse!!
But i'm guessing if worst comes to the worst we will have to do that. Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: Samdy Gray on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 09:31:35 It's unreserved seating anyway so won't make any difference. For the sake of £120pp I'm sure it's worth the hassle.
Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: Sippo on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 10:56:46 But can you book for other people?
For example can I use my card, and have different named passengers? Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: Arriba on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 11:02:51 i've always found ryanair to be ace.the only minor probs i've had is charges for overweight baggage.
their prices change by the day, so keep checking the site for flights. Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: Sippo on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 11:04:28 What would you do?
Its flights for my stag do. Wait til they 'may' come down in price and risk not being able to get all tickets, or book now? Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: LucienSanchez on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 11:09:46 Get everyone coming to pair off and book their own tickets... people will book up sharpish to get the cheapest deals...
Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: dell boy on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 11:12:04 i've always found ryanair to be ace.the only minor probs i've had is charges for overweight baggage. You should leave her at home then!! :Dtheir prices change by the day, so keep checking the site for flights. Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: Colin Todd on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 11:12:21 firstly, isnt this the best mans job?

Yes. But we are discussing as we speak. I'd love to tell everyone to book their own, but some are useless cunts and some just don't have internet access. Some are both!! Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 11:27:37 Just fuckin book them
Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: Simon Pieman on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 12:20:35 How much is the wedding costing you?
Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: Sippo on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 12:28:53 fookin lots. budgeted £15k.
Why do you ask? Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: nevillew on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 13:02:52 I fookin hate them. To book 15 people the flights are £120! Surely the more you book the cheaper it should be!! >:( Good god , that's £8 EACH! Blatant rip off if you ask me. Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: Sippo on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 13:20:09 no you muppet, £120 each.
Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: Simon Pieman on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 13:32:58 fookin lots. budgeted £15k. Why do you ask? £120 isn't really that much to £15k. The stag do is more important. If it's too much hassle I'd just pay up. Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: Sippo on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 13:44:27 Its not me who's complaining its the others!
Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: Simon Pieman on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 14:25:30 If they're that bothered they can sort it out to get it free. If you're that bothered and want piece of mind then perhaps you should just pay it yourself.
Can't you email a link to the flights for the ones that do have net access and tell them to do it asap? Then if they have to pay because they're spazzers and don't sort it out they'll have to pay up themselves. I assume they've already sunk other costs into this, likelihood is they will not want to miss out. Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: Sippo on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 14:27:43 Tis true. I hear what you're saying.
Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: Simon Pieman on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 15:23:38 £120 each is a bit different though, didn't realise that.
Just split people into groups of four so you all pay a tenner. If they can't work it out then conclude they are retarded and should be put down. Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: janaage on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 15:44:05 But as soon as some of the seats start going the price will go up anyway, won't it? So the people who book first will get cheaper seats but number 14 and 15 may have to pay more, so you should still split the cost across the group.
Ryanair and such like companies are great though, yeah the service is poor and you end up a few miles from the city centre, but for cost it's fantastic, pay peanuts you get monkeys but it does the job. Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: nevillew on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 15:56:59 (muppet advice) Whoever is doing the booking just make sure and get the names 100% in agreement with passports - changes afterwards will cost a fortune and it's a big money spinner for them (muppet advice)
It's fine to moan about them, but without cheap airlines I doubt you'd be having a stag night in Lithuania would you? Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: Sippo on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 20:35:12 No neville, baltic air and lal also fly there. Flights are about £40 more, but its the times. Ryanair fly at 7am, the others 6pm. The best thing to do I guess is just keep looking. Not booking til nov 7th anyhow, so we'll see.
Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: Sippo on Thursday, November 27, 2008, 10:28:24 Robbing bastards are charging £24 to check in a suitcase!!
Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: Batch on Thursday, November 27, 2008, 10:33:12 Sis back and awaits Sippo going ape shit when he realises food and drink cost extra on board too.
I guess its the benefit f hindsight in your case, but it is standard practice for the budget airlines to charge for absolutely everything. I'd take your own bog roll just in case ;) Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: janaage on Thursday, November 27, 2008, 10:40:10 I remember coming back from a weekend in Amsterdam, waiting and waiting for our luggage, Rory McGrath was on our flight and was so visably pissed off at having to wait for his luggage. I thought to myself, if you want to pay £10 to get back from Amsterdam you have to put up with stuff like this. Use first class BA if a little luggage delay upsets you so much.
Cheap flights are quality, even if you do have to pay for add ons like glass in your windows. Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: strooood on Thursday, November 27, 2008, 10:52:00 i got returns to Dublin over xmas for £20.20 each!
magique Title: Re: RyanAir Post by: blinkpip on Thursday, November 27, 2008, 11:35:00 Does the groom pay for the stag do?
