Title: D Day for Malpas? Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, 13:50:41 Got a feeling this could be crunch time tonight for Malpas, Looks like Yeovil Red does not want my Ticket so i am going to go along now.
A message for the players whether you like Malpas or not do not play like wankers in the hope he gets the sack turn up and play for us idiots who pay to watch you. Sadly i think tonights performance will say if they want to play for the bloke, i hope they prove people wrong and keep the bloke in a job. Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Post by: herthab on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, 13:51:41 4-1
Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Post by: tans on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, 13:52:14 I hope they win, but still want him out.
Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Post by: Sippo on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, 14:05:03 Still think he'll have saturday's game whatever happens tonight.
Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Post by: DV on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, 14:11:09 I still think its best to get rid of FA Cup weekend so we have a better chance of having a new manager in before the next league game.
Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Post by: Colin Todd on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, 14:13:15 Still think he'll have saturday's game whatever happens tonight. Too much sun Mex. Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Post by: Rich Pullen on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, 16:36:11 I'm almost 100% Malpas won't be gone tonight - win, lose or draw.
Wonder if Holloway will be in the stands again tonight.... apparently he was there against Huddersfield (and Southend)! Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, 17:08:33 I don't think anyone knows except Fitton tbh.
Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, 18:08:05 I'm almost 100% Malpas won't be gone tonight - win, lose or draw. Wonder if Holloway will be in the stands again tonight.... apparently he was there against Huddersfield (and Southend)! Was Holloway really at the Huddersfield game???? I don't believe it. That has to be a wind up! Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Post by: nochee on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, 18:13:17 Was Holloway really at the Huddersfield game???? I don't believe it. That has to be a wind up! Its not even Hollaway...its an out of work lookalikey trying to stir the shit. Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Post by: Rich Pullen on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, 18:14:27 Was Holloway really at the Huddersfield game???? I don't believe it. That has to be a wind up! I know, tell me about. The missus' dad told me he was at Southend... He may have been on the wind-up though (and I wasn't on TEF much this weekend to read other rumours) Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Post by: THE FLASH on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, 18:18:34 Malpas on Omaha beach firing from the hip!
"C'mon ya wee bastarrrds, i'll take the lot of yee!!" Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Post by: swindon-chap on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, 18:22:00 If Malpas does get sacked tomorrow...We have to get Peacock as Caretaker Manager! :D
Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Post by: Sippo on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 07:19:28 Looks like he's bought himself some more time then. Don't get me wrong, but one game doesn't change our season. Don't mean to be negative, but what happens if we lose saturday? Does he get more games?
Thoughts? Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Post by: Power to people on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 07:35:24 1 games does not fix things for him, his record speak for itself, maybe he should go now so he can go with his held held high after winning a game.
Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Post by: Samdy Gray on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 07:54:10 And again in English?
Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Post by: Rich Pullen on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 09:29:14 Just for future notice how many games will have to win before it changes our season? We've still got 3/4 left! Indeed, this is merely restbite for Malpas prior to a tough Oldham fixture and our defence is currently shite but comeon it's not even November yet and we go on predictions such as "he'll never turn it around" and, my personal favourite, irrelevant stats such as "well, under Iffy Onuora we had this many points...."
Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Post by: Colin Todd on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 09:33:03 I think the answer to your 1st question is "however long it takes to get to mid table saftey" Rich.
I think its fair that people are still scecptcal of malpas. 1 reasonable win after 6 without a win isnt anything to go crazy about Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? I think its fair that people are still scecptcal of malpas. 1 reasonable win after 6 without a win isnt anything to go crazy about Cheers CT but happy-clappy wasn't where I was coming from if I'm honest. Mid-table safety can be achieved before you know it with or without Malpas. We're just as crap as everyone else in this division! Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Post by: Colin Todd on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 09:50:00 I had visions of you clapping in a very gay way between each word of your original post if I'm honest.

As long as we're being honest, I'm doing said hand motion right now. Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Mid-table safety can be achieved before you know it with or without Malpas. We're just as crap as everyone else in this division! We don't want to be crap. Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Post by: Power to people on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 12:27:07 We should be a team with expectation and ambition not just hoping for mid table obscurity, but 1 win does not mean that we are out of the relegation area, teams around us also picked up points last night - what is required now for Malpas to keep his job is for us to go on an log unbeaten run.
I just still can't imagine Malpas as the man to take the club forward though long run or not Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Post by: flammableBen on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 12:29:50 You must have a shit imagination then. That's easy compared to a midget getting frigged off by a half human half triceratops.
Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Post by: DV on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 12:38:09 Looks like he's bought himself some more time then. Don't get me wrong, but one game doesn't change our season. Don't mean to be negative, but what happens if we lose saturday? Does he get more games? Thoughts? If the team keeps battling and playing like they did last night in the long run we will win more than we lose. I said in the Northampton match day thread if we on Saturday, we battle play alright and Oldham play bloody well to get their win thats fine with me, we cant win them all and Oldham are one of the better sides in the division. If we lose on Saturday, bottle it, hide away and give away sloppy goals again like we have done in the past then we have to think about the managers job. I just think the last two games everyones mentality has changed. If we play like we did last night we'll lose some but we're also win some. As long as we dont go on a major winless run I think we'll be alright. Title: Re: D Day for Malpas? Post by: nevillew on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 12:52:36 You must have a shit imagination then.
