You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life.

See that girl, watch that scene, digging the dancing queen.  :)

She was a girl from Birmingham,
She just had an abortion,
She was a case of insanity,
Her name was Polly and she lived in a tree....

Loved the Glen Campbell version on Later last week of Time of your life ....

"I like it in the city when the air is so thick and opaque
I love to see everybody in short skirts, shorts and shades
I like it in the city when two worlds collide
You get the people and the government
Everybody taking different sides"

Don't ask me
What you know is true
Don't have to tell you
I love your precious heart

I..........I was standing
You were there
Two worlds collided
And they could never tear us apart

We could live for a thousand years
But if I hurt you
I'd make wine from your tears

I told you
That we could fly
Cause we all have wings
But some of us don't know why

I..........I was standing
You were there
Two worlds collided
And they could never...ever...tear us apart

I like it, will have to introduce it to her and see how she takes it.

She was keen on Amen Corner's, "If Paradise is Half as Nice" a month ago or so!  Bit fast for the first dance though.

Not a big fan of Damian Rice, that cannonball song was alright, but over played, and it's kind of put me off of his work.  Never heard of this one though, will look it up on yootoobe later.

This is the version I play:

Code:
G           G           Cadd9               D
So take the photographs and still frames in your mind.
G            G             Cadd9           D
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time.
Em         D            C            G
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial.
Em               D            C             G
Through what its worth it was worth all the while
Em                  G             Em              G
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right
Em               D            G
I hope you had the time of your life

Green Day go beyond dislike for me, they somehow manage to make me feel a bit sick.

I just listened to Sam's town very loudly. The second half of the album is great.

Think I'm going to listen to some James now.

I always do when I come home after a week born of frustration when people say something and I lose control.

+1

Dunno if that's right. I haven't actually played it since I bothered to learn it (it's a nice easy song to learn though).

I find Greenday pretty rubbish on the whole but I like a few of their songs.

That inspired me to do the same axs....I'll give the SY a miss though, and have a bit more ABBA.

Hercules and Love Affair.

I'm so sick of mediocre indie guitar pop at the moment that I'm enjoying anything a bit different.  Although I have quite enjoyed the folkey sounds of Bon Iver's album - For Emma, Forever ago.
