Title: So is this how the world as we know it ends? Post by: Barry Scott on Thursday, October 9, 2008, 08:34:14 I love a bit of mind aching conspiracy me, so i've sorta copied this from elsewhere. I edited it a fair bit, but it made me think. Hopefully some of the more worldly wise (than me) want to chime in.
Economies around the world are suffering. Banks are losing billions. The executives are still spending money like the supply is endless. The people of the world are becoming uncomfortable, at us supporting them, at their own financial worries and at the money these trillion dollar economies supposedly don't have. The media the world over sends us messages of the impending doom and is slowly building us into a united frenzy. Soon the people will beg for a solution, and the ready and waiting governments will be more than happy to provide. It all looks very smoke and mirrors, purposeful, deliberate. Force the people into a corner. Conspiracy theory? Perhaps, but it just seems a bit convenient for some. Give it 10 years, max. One economy, one government, one set of rules. I read today that China had cut its interest rates to try to do its bit to help the global economy.
