We've had a thread on everyone else so only fair for Granville to get his own. Being serious for a second though I don't remember any of our keepers regularly making as many mistakes as they do now which has become alarming

Its obviously a confidence thing. keepers need confidence. They obviously haven't got any at the moment to keep making mistakes. Is that down to the manager, goalkeeping coach or both?

I went there too many times as a kid. Too many times.

A month or so ago we accidentally drove into the grounds... ruined the illusion for a few people.

When i was young we used to go and feed some horses and a donkey called Beamish in a local

field each day.The association of Beamish = Donkey = Previous STFC 80's manager seems to

be quite appropriate

Out GK's do look like they have gone backwards, they most used to look really strong keepers, but you can't blame the GK coach for them dropping ball's though that is down to them.

I suspect Brez & Smith have got a bet going to see who can make the biggest mistake and not get dropped for it....Smith is in the lead with 3 mistakes and out, Brez is now on 1....the competition continues next Saturday at the CG

Goalkeepers make mistakes, some more than others.
I dont think you can blame JG as the keepers are making "basic" mistakes he can only advise them.

I think Granville should play in goal.  Brez and Smithie out!

That's who I thought it was.  Didn't Gladys Emmanuel play for us too, before Macari was manager.

Its not just the mistakes tho, the way you judge a coach is on whether the players are playing better than before he came in.  Granville should of been working on weaknesses since he came in, Brez's being his kicking and Smith being more commanding and controlling his penalty area, we have not seen an improvement in either area so I would have to say Granville looks a waste to the wage bill at the moment.

I think I've twigged it ... he had a "stint" in the US of A, Los Angeles I believe. He's got NFL contamination and has been coaching touchdowns to Brez and Smiffy.

But you do have to technically catch the ball to claim a TD, so I think your argument is somewhat flawed. Good effort though.

They're supposed to put it over the net, not in it.
