I need a new TV for my PS3, Its only for my room so nothing big, probably no more that 22/24 inch

Funnily enough i'm looking for one to. I think Sonys are a good bet but they are a bit more expensive. Samsung's are supposed to be pretty good. You can probably pick one up for about £200-300.

If it's for gaming then LCD is probably the best way to go. Samsung are good but generally more expensive than other brands.

If it were me, I'd be looking to get a bigger screen that has 1080p capability to get full use out of the PS3.

Out of interest, what does 1080p mean?

It's short for 1920x1080 pixels, aka the resolution.

The p stands for progressive scan. I'll let Ralphy explain what that means, I'm all geeked out.

That's the pixels like Sie Pie as menriones, that size your quoting will mean it.s HD or HD ready.

Also depending on what you're using it for. If you're going to be playing lots of games then be aware that a lot of games only have a native resolution of 720p (or less). So unless you're going to watch loads of blu-ray, you could save some dosh by not going for the full 1080p.

AFAIK, all PS3 games are 1080p native.

Most games upscale Sam, they're rendered at far less resolution.

I would like something bigger believe me but it wont fit in my room, its only temporary for the duration of time i am living where i am now.

I prob have a budget of 200, but less would be ace, can someone post some links of what i shuold be looking for.

Could get a computer monitor with an HDMI port. Depends if you're fussed about telly or not. They're loads cheaper though.

I just bought that, it's ace, may be a bit big for your needs but I think its worth 40-50 quid over a 21-23

Might just have to do that myself. That one there would fit into my room but if i were to get a TV chances are i'd have to settle for a 19" or 20" rather than a 22".

Talking of monitors instead of TVs, at christmas i wanted a 22" LG for my new computer that could be used as a TV. I bought one and it had a dead pixel. I took it back hoping to get another but they explained they're sold out. So, i decided to have another gander at what they had on the shelves and came across an older 20" LG widescreen with the same resolution, and TV capability.

It was a returned item, so being sold for £179.99, reduced from £250 or something. I thought to myself, i'll have that, thats a great monitor at a decent enough price, bargain. Anyway, the superb salesman at PC world, noticing me eying it up, swaggers over, and his first words - in his best attempt at the hard sell - are, "You can have it for £100 if you want?" :)
