My memory aint what it was,but mine was the goal he scored at the CG ran down the wing cut inside the defender just outside the box and smashed it low and hard into the corner.

Never really been a big fan of Bodin. I'd have a go on his daughter though...

I thought we were onto a winner when Roberts bagged a goal on his debut... Sad what happenend in the end, he had the potential.

Personal fave, although we ended up getting beat, was the screamer at Swansea then winding the cunts up after he scored. Love it.

I've never seen the bloke play yet I have followed his whole career whilst he was with us, I almost feel as though I have an afiliation to the chap the same as I do with my gods OST, Hazard, Shearer ect.

OK he may not qualify as a legend but he could/should at least give us a wave goodbye.

I wish him well as a person but I couldn't care less about him putting on the Town shirt again. it shows how far we've fallen as a club when someone like Roberts is rated as a player.

Sheff Weds at home and the Ayatollah at Swansea... great moments. He was a character, and i loved his arrogance that wound opposition players, staff, and fans no end.

Special mention for a 2 footed lunge right in front of Martin Allen too which sparked a little scuffle on the touchline. Think he got a yellow.

Very frustrating player......absolute crap at times (Mansfield away) and then Awesome at others (Swansea away).
I will remember the good times - good luck Christian, i hope this setback does not put you back on the bottle again.

One moment that typifies what he can do is during a game in league 2 (against darlington i think), and the ball just somehow gets to him about 20 yards out, and he just smacked it on the half volley with his first touch, over the keeper but cannoned of the bar. Then i think he headed the rebound wide, but if his initial volley had gone in it would have been one of the best goals i have seen

I think his best game was when he turned looming defeat to victory & was awesome every time he went forward. Was that the Sheff Wednesday game mentioned earlier.

Remember him being on the bench once, & at half time was on the pitch entertaining the townend, and loving every minute of it.

Would'nt ever get into a STFC legends team, but wish him the best

It was the Sheffield Wednesday game and the Hull City match that he looked class - iirc.

It's odd that I have never seen Christiano play, yet I share the same sentiments as you lot. And for some reason I took a liking to his cocky attitude without ever having met the bloke.

The word word legend is a bit strong but I feel a greater affinity to Christiano Roberto than I ever did towards Parkin.

Regardless, if you are reading this Christiano, keep of the sauce mate and should you find yourself in Bangkok I will be more than happy to buy you a coke or two.

I remember the home game vs Hull. IIRC he sprinted about 30 yards on to a loose ball in the hull half and as the ball bounced he got kicked by the Hull CB for his troubles!

  I recall with fondness, the Chavmeister's contribution to AK's last game in charge.

 v Bradford City, he came on as a sub with us 2-1 down to one each from Windass and Claridge.....got the ball and went off on a trademark mazy dribble towards the Stratton Bank.

 At some point I think he realised we were kicking towards the TE, stopped tried to get back up the pitch, lost the ball, and Claridge was played in for an easy finish.

 At this point I realised all was not right in the Roberts' head...Iffy shipped him off to Sporting Chance soon afterwards.

 I'll still give him the old Christian Roberts chant on Sunday though.

Bristol City fans on their forum are giving a lot of respect. He was even at one of their games last week in the VIP lounge.

Trying for the life of me to remember who the oppo at the CG was when Roberts broke down the right after picking up a loose ball from a corner, as he reached the half way line he quite brilliantly centred the ball to Brian Howard by curling it around a defender rushing back leaving Howard practically 1 on 1 with their keeper, ending up in a goal.

Must have been 04/05 as this was the only season those two were in the same side. Anyone remember that, or have I got myself in a muddle yet again?

one of their goals came from a free kick because Ifil picked the ball up for a throw in before it had gone out!

I liked Roberts. Before he joined you he was playing for Exeter down in League Two with us, around 2002 I think. Exeter were rubbish apart from him. We either lost 2-1 or drew 2-2, and Roberts had an absolute stormer. At the final whistle he picked the ball out of the net down the Oxford Mail end and got a standing ovation from pretty much the whole stand, very rarely seen and also returned by the player. Top bloke.

He was superb that spell. If he hadnt got injured and continued that form that season we would have got in the PO's. That was his best form, Wise did well to get what he did out of Roberts, but he wasnt the same player by then.

But have to say, even when he was dry he showed massive lapses of concentration. After Wise left I dont think football held any motivation for him anymore (apart from playing Swansea).

Yes that's the one. As soon as Roberts middled it he stopped running, he'd done his bit. The keeper came rushing out to meet Howard, but the ball in was so good Howard only had to touch it once to divert it past him and into the goal. Brilliant.

That goal against Torquay was great. Roberts took it down on his chest from a Torquay corner if I remember correctly. To create a goal from that was incredible.

Wish I could be there tomorrow just to give him a warm round of applause to be honest!! All the best Robbo!

one of my abiding memories of robbo was when he absolutely crunched into the sheff wed keeper in that evening game. it was early on in the game, robbo was chasing a long ball over the top and the keeper came out and got a boot in the groin. we went onto win that quite comfortably.

has stefpol been on yet to celebrate robbo's demise?
