Not living in Swindon I don't get to hear the local radio so i'm not sure if Mr Kings comments have been taken out of context.

I really hope they have, as if we do lose some of the 'out of contract' players especially Smithy we could be in all sorts of trouble. :(

Sounds like bollocks to me, I don't believe anything people write on that forum until I see it happen.

That sounds about right from what I've been told.  Matty Heywood was pretty much saying that last weekend, about the out of contract players being offered shit terms.  It's gonna be a completely new team, pretty much, when August comes around.

Who nows we may even get in players who battle for the club, that'd be a nice change.  Just wish we could have stumped up the cash to give Smith what he wanted/deserves.

I don't know how I did my back in, it just started hurting for no reason on saturday and I can hardly move.  I haven't been able to check on my horses since monday, I hope they are still alive  :shock:

  Once we offered reduced terms, all those players became effectively free agents, and so their agents would look to hawk them around to secure a better deal......then its up to them.

 A player like Smith though was always going to attract other clubs as a goalscoring left footed midfielder is a marketable commodity.

sounds like complete bullshit to me but assuming it is true...
heywood, robinson, hewlett and howard, that makes 4 that are leaving. and then possibly igoe, rhys and duke. So thats 7.
i couldnt care less about these players leaving. I am of course hoping that smith isnt leaving, but apart from him and super sam, they can all go for all i care.
we had a mid table finish last year - what does it say about the club and the supporters if after finishing 12th we're getting all worried about whos going and whos not? if we want to get to the play offs, we must be prepared to kick out some of the players who don't give a shit about the club regardless of how much potential they have. finishing 12th is unnaccpetable - we need to rebuild and if this means losing 7 first teamers then so be it.

another thing - with king, we have the ideal oppertunity to rebuild. he has many faults, but bringing in players on the cheap is his major strength - we have to get rid of the dead wood and rebuild now while we have him in charge or simply put up with a shit side next year aswell.
