Title: Morrison Post by: leefer on Tuesday, September 16, 2008, 17:19:54 Iknow theres been a couple of threads about him but i feel its time he was given arun in the team....Ifill or Aljofree need a kick up the ass, they arnt doing the buisness, though to be fair beast has scored a couple.
How is someone like Morrison ever get in our team if he cant get a run now.He may make the odd mistake but then thetwo ive mentioned are prone as well. Its about time the likes of him and Joyce were given a chance and that means a run in the team if nessasary, how are we ever going to know if they can do the buisness if they cant get in the team when that team is perfoming under par. Title: Re: Morrison Post by: Bogus Dave on Tuesday, September 16, 2008, 17:22:22 I left morrisons on friday :(
I dont get all the hype about the big man anyway. He looked averge to me against millwall, and was at fault for the second goal against cheltenham. He May turn out to be a decent player but with a team getting pounded at is that the right environment to chuck a 17 year old center back into? Title: Re: Morrison Post by: BANGKOK RED on Tuesday, September 16, 2008, 17:28:31 Never seen the lad play of course. But is it a good idea to play a young CB in a team whose defence is aparrentely at sixes and sevens? Might not do much good for his development like.

Title: Re: Morrison Post by: Arriba on Tuesday, September 16, 2008, 17:55:12 could ruin the lad throwing him in now.too big an ask.he's 17 and just a kid if pros with 100s of games between them are struggling, it's not fair to ask a boy to come in and sort it.
Title: Re: Morrison Post by: Batch on Tuesday, September 16, 2008, 18:15:35 He looked a good prospect but not yet ready to me.

Especially if Malpas takes him straight out if he makes a mistake. Us as fans would probably call for him to be dropped too. Build him up and if and when he is nearer to the stage of being ready I will be quite excited about what could be a really decent prospect. Title: Re: Morrison Post by: nevillew on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, 07:13:35 Going by his distraught reaction to his cock up v Cardiff pre season, I'm not sure he's ready just at this moment.
Title: Re: Morrison Post by: Dozno9 on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, 08:25:47 If MM did decide to put in Morrison and he made a balls up of it where do we go then? I would rather think he could be the better option rather than actually proving he isn't.

How did he react? I missed that game. Title: Re: Morrison Post by: Colin Todd on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, 08:37:27 He jumped over the stratton bank fence and wasnt seen for 3 days.
Title: Re: Morrison Post by: Power to people on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, 13:11:13 I'd agree with the defence prone to errors at the moment and the team in general not playing that well, it may just be a bit soon to be pinning our hopes on a 17 yr old, it would be better of introducing him when the team is playing better so it is less pressure on him and he can find it easier.
Probably better to keep using him as a sub or as cover for the time being. Title: Re: Morrison Post by: nevillew on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, 13:53:52 How did he react? I missed that game. He came on as sub at half time, got caught cold within a few minutes, conceded a goal and he looked about to burst into tears for about 10 minutes. Wasn't getting too much encouragement from the touchline either. Title: Re: Morrison Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, 14:03:48 on flip side i would be full of confidence if my manager thought i could be the answer to my teams defensive problems

Title: Re: Morrison Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, 15:45:52 Morrison was terrible at Cheltenham. Saying that can he really be worse than Jerel or Hasney at the moment?
Title: Re: Morrison Post by: chalkies_shorts on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, 18:41:14 Morrison was terrible at Cheltenham. Saying that can he really be worse than Jerel or Hasney at the moment? Morrison was no worse than Aljofree at Cheltenham. As usal Aljofree gave him bugger all help. Morrison will only get better - Aljofree is going like a steam train in the other direction. I'd pitch Morrison in but not without Vincent who now looks as thugoh he's gonig to be out for a while. He'll not develop with Aljofree alongside him and you can't pitch him in with any of the others. |
