I know a few on here have been before... I'm thinking of going over for a few nights in December.

Anyone got any advice/recommendations for hotels and stuff to do...?

I dont care what my mrs says im going to the guinness factory.

I thought the Guiness factory was ace!

If you get time and can get a cab, try Johnnie Foxs pub (highest pub in Ireland I think) http://www.jfp.ie/.  Food is really good and have all the traditional Irish stuff etc.  We went on Paddy's day and was a good laugh.

Dublin Castle and Temple bar are worth paying a visit to as well.

Haven't been (yet) but been told The Old Jameson Distillery is worth a visit too..?

Good thing about the guiness factory when I went was there were a lot of chinese people there. They don't like guiness so had their free pints. :)

thats the very reason I ended up having to drink 4 pints in one hour there. except that they were my mates who i went there with, not chinese people.

my advice would be not to let your girlfriend get drunk on Guiness then go shopping in Browns - it will only spell an expensive disaster
