Title: Gillingham relegated Post by: reeves4england on Sunday, May 8, 2005, 17:09:34 Stoopid Ipswich!
Really want them to go up as I watched Wigan vs Preston last week and it was dire. Supposedly two of the best teams in the Championship and Mr Hewlett could have given them a run for their money! Title: Gillingham relegated Post by: yeo on Sunday, May 8, 2005, 17:37:41 Im going to Gillingham next year for sure, its good to be hated 8)
Title: Gillingham relegated Post by: Dazzza on Sunday, May 8, 2005, 18:20:52 Good stuuf, bit of a rival and some spice for next season.
Bet Townfish on the rivals board is in his element he has been winding them up for an age now. Bet Townfish on the rivals board is in his element he has been winding them up for an age now. Without wishing to labour the point, Gillingham aren't really a rival....we've played them one season in the last 25 years or so....86/87 when both sides were going well.....as were Wigan who we also knocked out of the PO's we don't consider them a rival and its probably quicker to get to. In the seasons directly after the assault on Tranter and the abuse of Cecil Green 78/79, boring games were played out in front of sparse 4000 ish gates, probably as will be the case next season, unless something unexpected happens with our side next season. Title: Gillingham relegated Post by: yeo on Sunday, May 8, 2005, 18:52:20 I dont consider them rivals but they do hate us that is fact.I think the fact that we haven't played them for an age will increase the fun.Plus its 2 1/2 hours on the train with only 2 changes so its an easy place to get to and I will be able to get pissed :beers
Title: Gillingham relegated Post by: Reg Smeeton on Sunday, May 8, 2005, 18:58:01 Now Yeovil will be one one to get the pulses racing.....not sure what their capacity is but, we'll certainly fill it.....given a dull season I wouldn't expect more than the usual 350 to Gillingham.
Title: Gillingham relegated Post by: Spencer_White on Sunday, May 8, 2005, 19:03:59 A firm of 350 reg?
hehe. Title: Gillingham relegated Post by: Reg Smeeton on Sunday, May 8, 2005, 19:06:55 We'd struggle to put out a firm of 35 these days especially as Bormuff caused a bit of a cull this season.
Title: Gillingham relegated Post by: yeo on Sunday, May 8, 2005, 19:09:42 They'll get off I reckon.

The CGH has lost its aura without the old hard bastards in there. If they get off they will only get done for something else though!!! Its impossible to sustain, they might be working that out for themselves soon. Title: Gillingham relegated Post by: Amir on Monday, May 9, 2005, 10:38:12 I think as Yeovil said, the fact we haven't played them for years is what makes it interesting. It has allowed a lingering dislike to fester over the years.

I would consider Didcot (yes Didcot) a more expensive drink than London. A pint of premium usually costs well into £2.80-£3, but youre drinking in a small town run down pub with loosers (usually old crap beer too). At least if you pay £2.80 in London you get a decent bar. Truth is chain pubs like Wetherspoons and Goose are the only places to get a truly cheap nowadays and they are EVERYWHERE in London. Shit independent locals in the south charge big prices. But £30 match ticket??????? Bloody hell! At least Gills will have everyone moaning on their board instead of our myonlyswindon.com JIB the train, SCAB yer drinks, JUMP the fence ROB the services!!!!!!!! WHATEVER IT TAKES IL BE THERE!!!! Last season I got to Newcastle (by train) for £7 its one of the greatest achievements of my life. :\/ Title: Gillingham relegated Post by: Marie on Wednesday, May 11, 2005, 16:21:25 Quote from: "Spencer_White" JIB the train, SCAB yer drinks, JUMP the fence ROB the services!!!!!!!! My mate got done by the transport police for trying to get away with being 15 when he was 17 nearly got himself arrested but had to pay 80 quid instead. Title: Gillingham relegated Post by: Spencer_White on Wednesday, May 11, 2005, 16:45:24 I bought tickets from Didcot to Banbury and Birmingham to Derby. Best thing was the train was rammed solid (friday 5pm) from Birmingham all the way to Newcastle hundreds of these poor bastards who had forked out ££££££ for a ticket, standing crushed in the idles. I had a toothbrush and about 5p (no ticket) on my person and I got a seat for 300 miles!!!! (Im a cunt).
I forked out £60 for a ticket to Tranmere this season. Had a train break down. Never got a table seat and was generaly crushed by glory hunting plastic Liverpool fans from Stafford onwards. Plus on a very sombre note there was the worry of the Newbury train crash later that same day. Thereby declared Id rather take a loss of £40 a week hiring a minibus then travel with that sack of shit (virgin) ever again. Il only travel GWR and GNER, the rest of them can fuck off. Title: Gillingham relegated Post by: Asher on Wednesday, May 11, 2005, 17:53:33 Transit vans with sofas are the way forward spencer, or my new bike I just bought.
