Title: Re: aldershot Post by: Batch on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 11:45:58 When is it again? 1 week today (2nd September) I think Title: Re: aldershot Post by: Luci on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 11:47:48 Hmmm I don't think I can justify half a days holiday from work for this after Barnet to be honest. Still painful memories.
How long to drive there from Swindon? Title: Re: aldershot Post by: Simon Pieman on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 11:51:42 Anyone going by train? I'm in Reading that day, right next to the station so may be tempted as the rail fare looks cheap enough.
Title: Re: aldershot Post by: Batch on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 11:53:00 How long to drive there from Swindon? Hour and a half in theory. Though at that time of day who knows. Title: Re: aldershot Post by: Luci on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 11:58:12 My god, train is only 7 quid return!
Title: Re: aldershot Post by: Arriba on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 11:59:57 station is close to the ground there
Title: Re: aldershot Post by: ibelieveinmrreeves on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 12:05:23 Just looked at the prices from Bath to Aldershot on thetrainline.com, £11.90 for two singles. Seems too good to be true so I'm wondering what I've missed.

Title: Re: aldershot Post by: ibelieveinmrreeves on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 12:12:47 If you're not travelling peak times it will be cheap. Fair enough. Few years since I travelled on the train any further than swindon anyway. Title: Re: aldershot Post by: Luci on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 12:55:25 I think Im going to see if I can get a half day.
Title: Re: aldershot Post by: Mexicano Rojo on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 13:17:18 only 45 minutes from me, almost local! plus another ground to mark off the 92.

I'm in Reading that day, right next to the station so may be tempted as the rail fare looks cheap enough. It isnt as easy by train as it looks. You have to get the Guildford train then change and go back up the line again. Could be even cheaper with a bit of 4 for 2 action. Title: Re: aldershot Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 17:04:45 Won't be bothering with this. Couldn't care less about the JPT.
Title: Re: aldershot Post by: Reg Smeeton on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 17:09:57 Won't be bothering with this. Couldn't care less about the JPT. You wont be saying that when we get to the final. Title: Re: aldershot Post by: Rich Pullen on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 17:14:12 You wont be saying that when we get to the final. Damn right... As long as we're in the competition we might as well give it a go. A JPT run could be just what this club needs to kick start itself. Title: Re: aldershot Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 18:06:07 Meh do any of you seriously think we'll reach the final anyway?
Title: Re: aldershot Post by: Rich Pullen on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 18:07:09 Meh do any of you seriously think we'll reach the final anyway? If Rovers could do it in L2 - why not us. So in a word - no. Title: Re: aldershot Post by: Luci on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 18:18:00 Meh do any of you seriously think we'll reach the final anyway? No but Im willing to go for a laugh, its a new ground and I have nothing better to do on a Tuesday evening! Title: Re: aldershot Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 20:10:25 Yeah would be a laugh. I'm not sure i could stomach a defeat to Aldershot in the JPT though soapy tit wank.

Title: Re: aldershot Post by: Spencer_White on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 21:26:16 Meh do any of you seriously think we'll reach the final anyway? No. At the moment weve got no motivation/determination away from home. You're always going to have to win away at some stage to have a cup run. But that doesnt mean that wont change eventually. If we can scrape past the Shots then maybe the players will wake up later in the season when they realise what a bunch of wasters they are being. Things might come together if we can hang in there. But I fear the league/play offs will soon be gone by then.
