We missed him today, ALOT.

its always the same, when we play shit who ever isnt in the team is thought to be our saviour! Now Ifil and Easton are apparently going to win the league for us.

But it doesn't change the fact we did actually miss him today.  Our defence looked shakey.

Ifils been our best defender for about 5 years now.

Lets be honest he is the best defender at the club so its hardly a surprise he was missed and its clear he is...

yeah i agree we missed Jerel, but in other threads apparently JPM should never play for us again (yet last week he was the dogs bollocks!!) Timlin should be shot, brez should be dropped.
At the end of the day we had 1 bad game

i thought ifil was ropey last week.he fucked up for tranmeres goal, and is useless when he has the ball.
one on one defending he is superb,but he cannot marshall a defence.league 1 is his level for sure, and he deffo needs a leader alongside him.if aljofree aint up to it then we need an old head signed.actually when is vincent going to be fit?he never lets us down imo

Ifil & Kanyuka as centre backs would be a disaster, i still think Aljofree is our most important centre back and the decision is who do we play with him, Ifil or Kanyuka

tbf morrison had a good game today i though, apart from when he decided to duck under the ball for their second goal

If Casal had been in position Tranmere wouldnt have scored.

Its simple are best centre half pairing is Ifil and Aljofree....

When its not those two the defence doesnt look as solid

if ifil hadn't kicked the ball straight to one of theirs un-challenged then they wouldn't have had the bloody thing to score.
i like ifil but he fucked up last week.

If Jerel Ifil was perfect he wouldn't be playing for Swindon.  I can handle the occasional fuck up as hes generally pretty solid.

I agree with your comments.  I guess its very easy to turn to the players who werent playing. I've definitely been guilty of it previously.

remember when we was relying on Paul Smith and Charlie CP to save us from relegation when they was injured!

I think we missed Ifil massively today tbh, Morrison is a good couple of years from being ready for regular 1st team football.

Whilst that was his original mistake the ball has then come from midfield on the left right across the pitch to a free right winger with our left back tucked too far in.

Ifil lead to the goal but if Casal was closer to his man it wouldnt have happened.


Whilst I agree he isnt brilliant with the ball id rather have a solid defender who can defend....even if he cant play the ball well. Its not his job to the midfield should come and get it off of him.

Either way hes our best defender and I dont care what he does with the ball, its better off in the air or in the don rogers stand that in our penalty box

Centre half really seems to be our problem at the moment, Morrison is not ready for league football yet and Aljofree infuriates me so much!

It's vital that Ifil returns to the team asap, and maybe Vincent is the answer instead of Aljofree, as someone else said he has never let us down, and at centre half his lack of pace and quality on the ball isn't highlighted as much

Depends. I dont think he'll play all season (ok maybe a run out in the piss poor paint pot) his career here is done.

I wouldnt even class Pook as a Swindon player.
