Title: Hungarians G-G-Granville? Post by: Dazzza on Wednesday, August 6, 2008, 20:30:45 Any ideas who these Hungarian chaps are then folks?
All gone a bit quiet on that front since the Adver article. Just looking at some of the Hungarian players in the league at the moment and a lot are doing quite well Plymouth being quite a good example of brining in a few Granvilles and doing quite a nice bit of business off the back of it as well. But you are right - all three were successful, Ákos Buzsáky could be playing against us on Tuesday and Peter Halmosi has earned himself a season in the top flight.

I think it was more a consequence of Kruschev's suppression of the 56 uprising....Honved of Budapest were considered the finest club side in Europe in 1954, playing a famous game v Wolves, then champions of England. But by the time the European Cup started in 56, they had fallen off the radar. Title: Re: Hungarians G-G-Granville?
