Well Im impressed that they actually put an article on there explaining and setting the fans expectations.  Better than the last year or so when they kept saying, they might be here then or maybe next week etc...

Stick 2 fingers up at Lotto and go speak to the likes of Addidas/Nike/Puma and just pose the question ' Can you supply 1,000 shirts for August 9th?

I really wanted one for my holiday and now it's not looking very likely that I will. Compare that to the fact the other clubs released their new shirts on the last day of last season and I come to the conclusion that Lotto are a bunch of stupid fuck-wits.

I was told by someone at the club that this year they were going to "tell the truth rather than lie to us"
The delay was partially due to the later than noraml completion of the sponsorship deal with 442.
No way this year they will tolerate substandard shirts either

Well, in a roundabout way, it still is the old board's fault!!
I can understand why the shirts aren't here now, as the club didn't sort out its sponsorship deal until very late. However, having agreed to supply the shirts Lotto are entirely at fault for the club shop not having any stock.

But then signing the cheapest deal you possibly can while still getting actual shirts does make it that bit more likely you're going to be right down the bottom of the queue for getting anything approaching service or even a proper account manager. Hypothetically speaking, of course

Well if the new lot knew Lotto were shit (actual evidence to suggest this) they should have ditched them before the end of the season.

Of course it was an awful business decision, but we could have offered more money as incentive to get them here on time, a bonus if you like, or just binned them off.

Not that I am blaming the board at all, but I think it comes down to one of those shitty disappointing moments and Lotto are the real culprits.

The quality of both the home and away shirts was absolutely shocking. It should have been a defective product recall to replace them with whatever they did to the black shirt that made it last.

Nick Watkins was on the radio this morning, stating that the kits were due on a flight yesterday/last night, but also stated a number of flights from the far east were cancelled due to a typhoon.  He was yet to find out if our shipment had been affected. 

Where are they made then? China?

I though last years has a Made in Portugal tag in them. Could be wrong.

I emailed the club reference the shirts. I wanted one for the QPR game.

Basically - Lotto are utter morons.

"At the moment the 950 shirts that we are waiting to be air freighted from Hong Kong are still in Hong Kong. I have spoken to Lotto this morning and they are trying to get the shirts on a flight at 4pm today. However, I must stress I have been told this for the last week, yet they can't tell me exactly what is causing the delay."

Even when they get to the UK they'll probably be held at customs for a week or two.

That was the ruse when we were waiting for the DGI shirts to come in about five/six years ago. Probably waiting for someone to pay for the import VAT.

I just rung up the club about this and apparently the Russian invasion of South Ossettia means that we won't be receiving the kits until October at the earliest, this of course is dependant on the timing of Wellard's death in Eastenders which could put the delivery back to the second week of December.  RIP Wellard.

I notice Tranmere have been having similar problems on the replica kit front, also siting the typhoon in the Far East as being a major factor ??? (Their kit is made by Vandenal I believe)

Kits are still in Hong Kong today.
