Title: Barry Corr Post by: Colin Todd on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 13:46:01 I see he's been declared fit to start full training again
Should be a month or so before he is considered for 1st team duties according to MM. Please please stay fit Barry so I dont have to endure watching Paynter any more. :bye: Thanks. Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: Nemo on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 13:51:08 If Corr stays fit, Corr/Cox could be a beautiful thing.
Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: LucienSanchez on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 14:08:19 I still don't get the Corr thing. I'll wait for him to prove me wrong.
Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: Batch on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 14:09:47 I see he's been declared fit to start full training again On the OS it says he will "play a part" on Friday/Monday. So presumably he has been in some sort of training for a bit? I'll hold my breath every time he falls over. I'll hold my breath every time he falls over. He's been doing all the running and is phyically fit, but not joining the others in contact training. He needs games obviously Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: Batch on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 14:30:03 Oh right, thanks.
Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: nevillew on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 14:40:48 If he stays fit, he'll be a disciplinary problem anyway.
Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: tans on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 15:12:24 I still don't get the Corr thing. I'll wait for him to prove me wrong. What he said. I give it a month before he is injured again anyhow. Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: Spud on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 15:48:38 What he said. I give it a month before he is injured again anyhow. Agreed. Don't see the point in keeping someone who is injured every other week. Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: jayohaitchenn on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 15:51:52 because the fat sweaty gave him a contract that doesn't run out until next year?
Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: nevillew on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 15:51:59 As he's in contract we might as well - doubt we'd find a buyer easily.
Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: herthab on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 15:53:06 Joint top scorer with Cox this season.
They'll both get 27 goals and we'll win the playoffs! Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: leefer on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 16:37:58 Corr is quality but alas picks up injuries..if he stayed fit he wouldnt be here long as he would be snapped up by a championship club....but he wont stay fit,in fact probably wont get fit.
Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: michael on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 16:43:42 We've never seen a fully match fit Corr play a run of games, so none of us know how good he can be.
He was awesome at Bournemouth away last season, first goal from distance was tremendous, and the second goal he absolutely battered his marker at the back post. That's what I like to see. I get the impression that he feels like he owes us. Let's just hope he doesn't try too hard. Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: strooood on Thursday, July 31, 2008, 11:40:17 to be honest i'll love the bloke forever just for that goal against mansfeild when we were all on the bank.
happy days. Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: suttonred on Thursday, July 31, 2008, 11:42:37 If he can stay fit, he could be one of our best players, and would easily get 15-20 in this league, its a very big IF though.

He had that little run in the team then and got a few goals, I really do think him & Cox upfront with Paynter coming on to replace him will do us a lot of good. Just hope he can stay fit, he works his bollocks off and deserves some good. Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: Spencer_White on Saturday, August 2, 2008, 09:17:32 Played last night. Looking good. Some of the Hungerford lads were roughing him up a bit so Malpas took him off.
Honestly think he's the best player at the club when he's fit. A whole season of Cox + Corr = STFC promotion season. To the Boony M tune - Barry, Barry Corr, Barry, Barry Corr, Barry, Barry Corr! Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: Batch on Saturday, August 2, 2008, 09:33:49 Played last night. Looking good. Some of the Hungerford lads were roughing him up a bit so Malpas took him off. I think it was only ever going to be 30 minutes, presumably on medical advice (not to rush him back). Williams and David "relax" Byrne were definitely keeping an eye on the stopwatch and took him off at pretty much dead on 30 mins. Like you say he did well given the massive amount of time he' s spent out. Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: Samdy Gray on Saturday, August 2, 2008, 09:35:02 OS says MM took him off because he was getting roughed up by the Hungerford defenders.
Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: dell boy on Saturday, August 2, 2008, 09:36:13 OS says MM took him off because he was getting roughed up by the Hungerford defenders. I'm sure he will receive many a heavy push in the back from defenders this season.Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: Spencer_White on Saturday, August 2, 2008, 09:48:33 He wins a lot of headers, but he doesnt have the sturdiest of frames, so quite often you do see a real impact on his back.
It would be a shame for him to loose that back to goal flick ons part of his game, but I think thats something he might have to avoid. Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: herthab on Saturday, August 2, 2008, 10:00:14 The thought of a fit Corr partnering Cox for the season is very exciting. He may be a big lad, but Bazza has good footballing ability too.
A Swindon team playing attractive football, an exciting winger, a cultured midfielder and two skillfull forwards? Something's gonna fuck up soon................ Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: Peter Venkman on Saturday, August 2, 2008, 10:24:58 Barry can be a class act for the club, if by any way he can stay fit he is the 20 goals a season striker and perfect target man for Cox.
Fingers crossed big bad bazza. Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: Spencer_White on Saturday, August 2, 2008, 10:30:36 The thought of a fit Corr partnering Cox for the season is very exciting. Something's gonna fuck up soon................ The only problem with one exciting winger is that he gets double marked and kicked to shit. We need another one down the right. Title: Re: Barry Corr Post by: Batch on Saturday, August 2, 2008, 11:20:07 OS says MM took him off because he was getting roughed up by the Hungerford defenders. Fair enough. Apologies Spencer. He seemed OK in that respect to me though obviously a little nervous of going in full pelt chllenges. The only problem with one exciting winger is that he gets double marked and kicked to shit. We need another one down the right. Indeed. Same up front too, but hopefully that can come from Corr/Peacock. |
