Good news. IMO Brian Talbot is a shit manager more likely to get the scum relegated than promoted. Ask Oldham and Rushden fans their opinion. I know he did well for Rushden but then so could most managers with the budget he had to get them into the league. It all went tits up when they reached league one though and he was out of his depth. If he hadn't left Oldham they would have been relegated by now.

It actually went tits up when Mr Dr. Martin stopped pouring money into the club, and Talbot had to start getting rid of the higher earners.

Yes , granted he floundered when it mattered, but it was very sudden when all the money was taken away, usually it becomes apparent over time if money is gonig to get tight.  In this case it was pulled right out from under him.

Not that I'm pro Talbot or owt, I just don't think there are many managers out there that could have coped with the situation he was in.

Those scummy fucks are not happy about the appointment if their message boards are anything to go by. Quite a mixed reaction. Some think it's a good move, most don't and most want to sack the board.
