Half the time I order a Guinness and forget I'm going to get it in a flimsy plastic beaker. It just doesn't taste right.

Just so long as Si Pie is around to get the beers in if it's busy I don't mind.

Better still we could turn it into a game for JFW, a bit like that game called 'Simon' in the arcade section, but with beers and wines.

Don't know about the arcade section, but I'm more than happy for JFW to go and get the drinks. Although in some pubs, birds don't seem to get served so quickly.

The chances of JFW leaving her trendy wine bar to visit us in the pub are very slim. I learnt she does slum it in Apartments on occassion though.

Personally, I can't stand the place and only go there when I have to.  But I'm delighted to see the Merlin doing its bit in tackling the inflation problem, thus reducing the chances of future interest rate rises and, with it, the cost of servicing my mortgage.
