Next year I think that we should try and arrange for more TEF members to meet up before kick off, especially beneficial for me as I don't know any of you and usually watch the town on me tod. :(

A propos of nothing other than it's related to beer (I would love to be in The Merlin tomorrow but can't be sadly) I would just like to say that last night I was SO pissed it was inbelievable.

I fell asleep on the train out of London and woke up in a place called Wivenhoe.  I would not expect anyone to know where that is but let me assure you it is fucking nowhere near Braintree where I live!  It is the absolute geographic dead centre of NOWHERE!  It all went wrong at Liverpool Street when I basically could not read the departure boards due to my pissed state. If I had been able to read them I would have got a through train to Braintree but as it was I just stumbled on the first train going in the right general direction.  I could have changed trains enroute and got back to Braintree but alas fell fast asleep and went way, way past where I should have got off.

When I woke up I did not know where the fuck I was.  I didn't know if it was Christmas or Easter. I'd missed the last train going back the other way of course and was way outside Mrs Taylor's collection area but luckily after a fair bit of staggering around and general tomfoolery I  managed to find a lone taxi driver.  I was very pleasantly surprised to find out it would only cost 25 quid to get home.  I loved that man  SO much at that moment.

Anyway, that didn't stop me from downing another four pints at lunch time.  I just thought I would share that with you.  Do you think I have a problem???? :roll:

You had a problem, but very impressively, you solved it when you spotted the taxi driver!  I too was drunk last night, took my girlfriend home, promising her a night of passion, got in bed and fell asleep.  She had to wake me up cos I was snoring too loud.  Proper romantic me.
