Title: Pub or Park
Post by: flammableBen on Tuesday, July 8, 2008, 10:33:26
After Baby Charlie wakes up from his little nap and has some lunch, I'm not sure if I should take him to the park or the pub.

I may ignore anybody who says park

You, my friend, are a genius. That sort of thinking will take you far.

Queens Park with a few beers from the off license, cheaper alternative.  You could join the sponsor a tramp scheme, which I've just invented.

I would do, but I'm in Brizzle. Queen's park is a bit of a walk.

In which case do not join the Sponsor a Brizzle Tramp scheme, they're not as friendly as Swindonian Tramps.

Apologies I forgot that Bristol doesn't have parks or off licenses, stick to the beer garden, it's the safe choice.

There is a few parks around here, I'm not sure if they'd match up to the ultimate tramp drinking experience which is Queen's park though. I wouldn't want to end up dissapointed.

It's my sister's. Charlie doesn't start at his new nursary until monday and both my sister and her boyfriend are at work this week, so they were in need of emergency child care.

I'm quite close to Ashton Gate. Well I think that's what I can see out the window.

I'm in the bedminstery area. Just off North Street. I've been to a few of the pubs, anybody got any recomendations?

I'm tired now. Had a bit of a walk. Stopped a few places, had some pints. Charlie slept most of the time. We had a bit of a dance in one pub. Might chip back to chat up the barmaid when my sister or Russ get back. Didn't get to a chance to explain that he's not mine, and I'm just the awesome sort of bloke who comes to babysit for his nephew for a week at short notice.

I wandered passed Ally's flat just to check he wasn't lying about being in Newquay until the end of the week. He wasn't it.

Seconded!

I saw a bloke at work today, in Bristol, heading to the gym with a Town shirt on. I would have said hello had he not been moving rather quickly and wearing headphones.
