when i press shift and the 2 key instead of getting " i get @ they are the wrong way round, any idea on how i fix it?

american keyboard.

Go to your regional and language settings in control panel and change the keyboard settings. Be thorough, as there are four places you need to change it.

It's the 2 one the first tab and the details button on the languages tab and the unicode options on the advanced tab.

I still think you're a ballbag though x

I have had a similar problemo in the past. Not quite sure how to cure it but the quick fix is that the @ has simply swapped places with the ". So type shift + " and you will get an @.

I used to have an American keyboard. I always had it set to UK layout though so loads of the keys weren't what they said they were. Good times.
