Title: car insurance Post by: pumbaa on Wednesday, June 25, 2008, 19:26:24 That'll be the known tactic of 'Well, you know, he's been with us a year, we enticed him in with a pretty good deal and now we'll whack up the price, hope he's a lazy cunt and decides not to shop around"......
Phone them up and tell them you've got a deal with the same coverage for 400 quid. If they don't go for it, get shopping around..... Title: car insurance Post by: janaage on Wednesday, June 25, 2008, 19:30:19 go to a comparison site, swift worked out cheapest for me when elephant.com trying raping my bank account!
Title: car insurance Post by: Chubbs on Wednesday, June 25, 2008, 19:44:24 how long you been driving jim,
im with tescos 5 years no claims im 23 and cost just over 300quid. could have gone tesco value for 270, but i didint think 30 quid was worth risking my NCB protection. Its one of those, i have never crashed my car, so why bother protecting it, but i know if i didint i would crash and be pissed off. Title: car insurance Post by: sonic youth on Wednesday, June 25, 2008, 19:53:14 i've been driving for 4 years, no accidents, no claims, nothing. three years as a named driver and one with my own policy and i'm 22.
i should get those three years as a named driver as no claims bonus with direct line, as that is who i am with now and the same as i was with as a named driver. i'm going to try and find if i can transfer those NCB to another company - zurich will give me the whole lot, bells and whistles and all, for £370ish...assuming i can use four years NCB. phoned direct line to ask about it and have a moan, their renewal system is broken. nice! Never had a problem with direct line with claims, but it pisses me off you get 10% for getting the policy online. Every time I mean to ring up and complain, every time I forget.
