Title: Undisclosed Post by: leefer on Friday, May 30, 2008, 19:32:37 This rule in my view has got to stop..an undisclosed transfer deal is not fair on the fans, after all our money contributes to a clubs finances,we really never knew how much we got for Parkin and countless other players, the club says our money will make a difference to the finances that go towards purchasing players....so we should be told how much players are sold and baught for.
Title: Undisclosed Post by: thedarkprince on Friday, May 30, 2008, 20:16:10 I agree with this. Nearly every transfer these days is for an undisclosed fee. If the FA, Prem League and FL are serious about becoming more transparent over finances (agents fees, etc) then all transfers should be fully disclosed down to the last penny.
Have a feeling that its only Man Utd (from the Prem) who publish how much they spend on agents fees which is a total disgrace. All clubs should have to. Which have to be released since we are a publicly owned company?
I could be wrong but I thought that was the justification for it Title: Undisclosed Post by: Simon Pieman on Friday, May 30, 2008, 22:36:10 We're a private limited company. Only information you'll see is how much we spent on players in the accounts and this will be a totted up amount
Title: Undisclosed Post by: Lumps on Saturday, May 31, 2008, 10:25:00 I'm OK with it.
I don't want other clubs knowing that we've just revceived big money for a player and bumping up their price for his replacement as a reaction. I wish in some ways the club had been a bit more circumspect about their transfer dealings in the past. Title: Undisclosed Post by: leefer on Saturday, May 31, 2008, 11:21:47 Thats a fair point lumps....but my feeling is they let the likes of Parkin go for peanuts, good or bad the fans have a right to know.

I like this idea. It retains your unknown financial power for the whole of that particular transfer window but lets people know what's going on |
