But being half Czech, surely I can mention it. The wife (Scottish) was quite pleased with 3-1 actually. Title: FAO TEF Jocks Post by: Bob's Orange on Saturday, May 31, 2008, 10:08:33 The Scots must be embarrassed that half of their team couldn't be arsed playing for their country. Libor Sionko, snigger!
You'd have thought that half of the England team would have cried off for the friendly against USA, especially the Man U and Chelsea players that have had a long season. Credit that we could put out a pretty much full strength team. Even though he scored 2 goals last night I thought Defoe was pretty woeful last night. Impressed with Gareth Barry. Joe Hart had a nightmare in his 45 minutes! I'm not quite sure what Capello was thinking with some of the players who were involved last night. If it was a one off to get a look at a few players then fair enough but some of that lot shouldn't be anywhere near the England team. Ashton was poor, Defoe was average at best, and although he did alright last night we've seen before that Bridge can be a liability! As I said, hopefully it was just a chance to look at players rather than any serious possible line up for the qualifying matches |
