I'm hoping the Yanks really go for it because I'm always defending them! Title: England vs Team America Post by: strooood on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, 18:37:07 i've got a fiver on usa to win at 7/1
also got lamps 1-1, terry 1-0, donovan 1-1, j.cole 2-1 Title: England vs Team America Post by: McLovin on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, 19:05:29 That has to be the worst ever national anthem rendition i have ever heard. Death to Kelly Rowland...
Title: England vs Team America Post by: Rich Pullen on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, 19:09:57 In fairness their national anthem is always asking for a melodramatic rendition.
Judging by the sports games I've attended in the U.S. they're generally like that version! Should've done the Borat version. Title: England vs Team America Post by: Scot Munroe on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, 19:10:52 not the best sound system. Can England fans stop booing the opposition national anthem. idiots.

Title: England vs Team America Post by: Rich Pullen on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, 19:52:47 How can scoring in a pointless friendly possibly soften the blow of a Champions League penalty miss?
It's like every time we fuck up in the Summer tournies and someone like Rooney or Gerrard scores a screaming for their domestic club the commentators say... "that certainly makes up for the summer" How's that exactly? :D Title: England vs Team America Post by: yeo on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, 20:08:45 I had a couple of quid on Terry to score 1 st at 23' with BetFair and also got England 2-0
Title: England vs Team America Post by: Sussex on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, 20:12:56 Also got England at 2-0 but it's clashing with Britain's Got Talent. :D
Title: England vs Team America Post by: dell boy on Thursday, May 29, 2008, 07:17:06 I was a bit shocked when Lampard was substituted, until then I didn't know he was on the pitch!!!

Title: England vs Team America Post by: chalkies_shorts on Thursday, May 29, 2008, 11:22:44 I'm another fool who went. Hargreaves was MOM for me by a country mile. Gerrard flitted in and out of the game whereas Hargreaves was disciplined and did his stuff with no fuss. Lapmard was anonymous. Rooney was a complete tool who I think should be dropped for a while. He charges over the pitch like a 5 year old. Stupid fouls on the half way line and his gob is constantly in motion at the ref. He's like a latter day Scouse Gurney. When he drops back he provides no outlet for our defence or midfield and is always in danger of giving away another stupid penalty like Russia away or getting sent off like against Portugal.
Title: England vs Team America Post by: Samdy Gray on Thursday, May 29, 2008, 11:27:41 I actually thought Rooney had a brilliant game.
Title: England vs Team America Post by: stfctownenda on Thursday, May 29, 2008, 12:12:23 Quote from: "Samdy Gray" I actually thought Rooney had a brilliant game. Agreed, Rooney and Gerrard linked up really well and were Englands 2 best players when they work so well together England look a much bigger threat. Title: England vs Team America Post by: Jamiesfuturewife on Thursday, May 29, 2008, 12:19:08 I watched Britains got talent instead!
Title: England vs Team America Post by: Simon Pieman on Thursday, May 29, 2008, 12:22:44 My mate from work went mainly to see Wembley. £70 for a ticket though. I'm so glad I went to the FA Vase final for £15 a ticket because I only went just for the sake of seeing Wembley.
Title: England vs Team America Post by: janaage on Thursday, May 29, 2008, 12:23:49 I want that girl and the dog to win!!! That dog's amazing! It's done nothing to dampen my enthusiasm for a border collie.
