I've got a lot of old stuff, but there's a few here I'm missing, apparently there's more to come. You've got to love the anti hooligan paint....and rucking from the 80's The 90 march almost brought tears to my eyes....it may have been the conjunctivitis) http://www.swindon-town-fc.co.uk/MediaPlayer/ForceFrames.htm?http://www.swindon-town-fc.co.uk/MediaPlayer/MediaPlayerSelect.asp Title: Vid clips on Swindon-Town-FC Post by: Fred Elliot on Tuesday, May 27, 2008, 19:40:51 That site is fucking ace !

Ive got quite a bit of stuff, but recording bits from HTV news and Points West, tends to get a bit messy in terms of quality etc ... Somewhere I've got Roger Malone's Flashback for teh Fans, probably the Don Rogers and Lou Macari ones....which would be worth putting up. Title: Vid clips on Swindon-Town-FC Post by: Peter Venkman on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, 08:35:39 I was hoping they would have a few of the older 70's and early 80's ones on there at some point too, such as the Asenal, Spurs and Wolves cup games from 79 with my interview on HTV as a 13 year old the day after the game.....blimey....me with hair! I would love to get that on there too! LMFAO
We did have quite a few games on MOTD and Soccer Special and The Big Match on ITV...games such as Home to Watford and home to Plymouth from the mid 70's. Title: Vid clips on Swindon-Town-FC Post by: reeves4england on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, 11:30:49 I could spend hours on there!
Top stuff. Look forward to seeing more stuff on there, perhaps some recent footage? Title: Vid clips on Swindon-Town-FC Post by: TownEnders.com on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, 16:19:33 Hello folks
Basically - I got hold of a load of old videos covering from 1981 to 1993 - 23 hours worth of footage - I've taken a pass through them all, and uploaded most of the best bits. The first batch of 70 clips are now available on the site - I've just uploaded the last 20 from 1991 through to Hoddle leaving in 1993. Over the coming weeks, I'll be digging out some of my other videos to take some more clips - mostly from 1993/94 up to 2000, but some older stuff as well - I think I have the Arsenal cup game somewhere, but not the Wolves semi-final.... I do have two (cheesy) episodes of "Flashback for the Fans", but they're both thirty minutes long, and YouTube only accepts a max of 10 mins. I'll do the 2-2 draw with Man Utd, the Coke Cup run to the semi-finals, the first ever showing on MOTD in 1963, and a few other bits. So.... if anyone has gone any footage that they are willing to share, PLEASE contact me, and I'll do what I can to get it on the site. Not too sure about more recent footage, as the club are providing this service with STFC World. Cheers. Title: Vid clips on Swindon-Town-FC Post by: Reg Smeeton on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, 17:15:51 Which 2 episodes of FBFTF do you have....I know I've got Rogers and Macari, but seem to remember Erine Hunt was done and maybe John Trollope (not sure)
I'd love to see again 66/67 beating West Ham 3-1....I recall getting back from the match and highlights being on Sportsnight with Coleman. Don't suppose it exists anywhere now though. Another curio....a mate told me about is he reckons they showed STFC v Sampdoria, or part of on Grandstand in 71.....I guess the home game when we mullered the Genoese 4-1. Yeah I know what you mean about the cost of video tape etc back then and yes it would be a real find, I am always scouting ebay for such gems. As for the videos on the site....they bring back so many great memories and a couple of real sad ones too, the 90 relegation did bring me close to tears watching again, the outpouring of feeling came rushing back just as it did back then. Fantastic stuff, keep up the great work! And nice (sic) to see wed woger Roger Malone again, that man hated us with a passion! I was actually interviewed by him on a couple of occassions and he was actually a nice bloke but cut him in half and he had Brizzle Shitty written through him. Title: Vid clips on Swindon-Town-FC Post by: suttonred on Thursday, May 29, 2008, 09:12:47 Living in Newbury we never got the highlights so it's the first time i've seen many since the games themselves, so being objective he doesn't come across with an anti swindon bias to myself, seems pretty objective in the clips there.

I've got that edition of the Big Match on DVD, Kenny Stroud's goal was a screamer. I've also got copies of the MOTD's in 68 & 69 when the featured games were Home to Southport (april 68 3-3) and Luton (jan 69 0-0). I fully intend getting in touch with Richard at the website once i can work out how to get DVD onto DVD on my computer, having a few problems working it out! I've got absolutely loads of stuff i can give him. What would be nice would be if we could obtain coverage from the tv companies of old footage. ITV for example sell off clips on their website, there is footage back to about 1970 from memory. But at £100 per clip (which could be just a minute long), i cannot afford to pay that to see some old footage. I can't imagine many people pay that either. You would think they could come to an agreement with the clubs and sell dvd's with it on, i'm sure they would be popular and make some money for them. To answer some of the questions: - Flashback for the Fans: I've got the Don Rogers one (cringeworthy watching Don reply with one word answers to Bobbin' Roger's questions), and the 1969 twenty year anniversary one with the whole team. - Next on the list to go up are.... 1968 Southport (first appearance on MOTD), 69 cup final goals, 1976 Palace (away), 1977 Everton (home), Paul Rideout being sold, 7-0 vs Kettering, Dagenham (!) and 2nd leg of Palace play-off in 89 - these will probably be over the weekend sometime - Then I've got a load of videos that need converting to DVD before I can do anything with them, so that's going to take a bit longer.... the Coke Cup run, Man Utd & Spurs in the Prem, Brighton play-offs etc etc Donkey - would be great to have the "selling Fjortoft" video up there - could you drop me a note on [email protected]? If anyone else has any clips, I'd definitely be interested - especially the Wolves League Cup semi, Danny Invincibile's goal against Peterborough, relegation in 2000, the financial problems last season.... anything really! Title: Vid clips on Swindon-Town-FC Post by: flammableBen on Thursday, May 29, 2008, 22:38:33 I've build many an altar in my time. The key is a strong base/support for the sacrificing. Depending on the sacrificial method it can be handy to have it slanting slightly with a slight gutter and drain hidden at the back. Collect that tasty sacrificial blood.
Hope that helps. Title: Vid clips on Swindon-Town-FC Post by: janaage on Friday, May 30, 2008, 07:27:31 Quote from: "Swindon-Town-FC.co.uk" Sorry.... been away for a couple of days. The clips with Lou being sacked and then re-instated. I remember the game against Southend on the Saturday very vividly (or so i thought) as a few minutes into the match Lou came into the North stand and sat 4 rows behind me, the whole ground applauded him. Nice to see the goals again, although the 2nd goal by Colin Gordon was nothing like i remember it. And i don't remember people going onto the pitch either, strange as i have a sad anal memory for things like that. Top man Richard, i enjoyed the 7 goals at Kettering as well. I've had read on the ITN archive website (www.itnsource.com) that they have a clip of the Anglo Italian final against Napoli from the season before, but it only mentions the rioting, not the game itself - it cost a fortune, and wasn't available for private purchase - though looking at their site now, it seems to have changed, so I'll investigate that again.
I've had a few offers from people who are going to send me more footage - I think my next step will be to get together a list of what I have, plus a list of what may be available.... hopefully there is someone out there will be able to fill in some of the gaps!
