There is no need for any violence in football, at the end of the day it's just a game. You can have banter yeah, that's part of the atmosphere and stuff..but when people start fighting it just goes too far.

We deserve it though - the so called football thugs from England costs our teams and national team dearly when all English teams were excluded from European team events all those years ago. At the time we were the best (and the club teams mainly made up of British players).
