Title: It may be obvious Post by: pauld on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, 21:48:57 IIRC this issue arose a couple of years ago although I'm buggered if I can remember which final it was or what the outcome was - just remember there was a cafuffle about a player who'd been sent off who got a medal when he shouldn't have done. Think it was either a Man U/Chelsea player in the FA Cup Final but I'm probably wrong. Doesn't each competition have their own rules for it?

The FA refused to give Moran his winners medal so Utd said they'd send all of their medals back, as he had played in every round before the final. The FA gave in, since then sent off players do get their medals.
