Title: The mildly interesting Championship results thread... Post by: Batch on Sunday, May 4, 2008, 13:21:43 As things stand we could be going to St Mary's next season,
[cliche mode] but its bound to be a day of twists and turns before we know who is going down [/cliche mode] I see Watford are trying their best to mess up the playoff spot. Have that Elton. Title: The mildly interesting Championship results thread... Post by: Batch on Sunday, May 4, 2008, 13:25:43 Slightly less shocking than the alternative prospect of it being Hull (promoted).
edit: missed the Saints being 1-0 down. Excellent! Title: The mildly interesting Championship results thread... Post by: dell boy on Sunday, May 4, 2008, 13:35:51 Also Watford will be out of the play-offs and Sheff Utd will take their place.
If Sheff Utd do make the play-offs they must be knock bet to go up, they have been pretty unbeatable for two months. Title: The mildly interesting Championship results thread... Yes they have been pretty aweseome if Sheff Utd dont make the play-offs it will be Palace for me as well. I'm backing Southend for Div 1 p-offs Wycombe for Div 2 Palace/Sheff Utd for Champ Title: The mildly interesting Championship results thread... City's game today doesn't mean anything, which is why I'm glad to see Stoke in 2nd place! Hopefully the Wurzels will mess up in the play-offs. SHeff Utd had an aweful start to the season but have pulled it back well so if they make the play-offs I can see it being either them or Palace under-16s who go up. Post by: Rich Pullen on Sunday, May 4, 2008, 15:09:58 So Leicester City will be the team that the media will say "everyone wants to beat".
I've been reading their forums in the last few days and they have such a high opinion of themselves, also playing that brilliantly epic battle of "we're a massive club because we've...." debates. Title: The mildly interesting Championship results thread... Post by: Summerof69 on Sunday, May 4, 2008, 15:11:08 It'll be great to renew our rivalry with them from the late 80's/early 90's...and our first visit to 'The Crisp Bowl.'
Title: The mildly interesting Championship results thread... Post by: reeves4england on Sunday, May 4, 2008, 15:14:03 I'm a Watford fan as farthe play-off semis are concerned then! Hopefully their new found form (they actually won!!!) will see them get past City.

To be fair this will be the first time they've ever played at this level in their history. Not many other clubs can say that. Title: The mildly interesting Championship results thread... I can see the smug grin on Warnock's face already. Title: The mildly interesting Championship results thread... But I guess my argument has to be how history relevant to how they perform today? Leicester have been relegated because they have been pretty damn rubbish all season. What their league status was between 18whenever and 2007 is not important when regarding their current mess. But that's just my opinion. Title: The mildly interesting Championship results thread... Post by: Bogus Dave on Sunday, May 4, 2008, 15:48:46 Yeah but one bad season doesn't discount the rest of their history. If leeds win the play-offs leicester will be the biggest team in the division by miles.

Could be, as Mandaric has said he won't reduce season ticket prices! Leicester play the worst football they've ever played, finish in the their lowest ever position, and get relegated. Even if they win the division next season they'll have had their worst finish ever. And Mandaric keeps prices the same? 8k would be good (they'll still average way over 10k imho). |
