Good luck to him, can't really blame him for leaving if he's had an offer from a championship club.

We'll have to resign David Duke to replace him.

It's a shame because he's a good player, but I'm sure there are other right backs who can do just as good a job.

I'm disappointed he's crossing the border.  Looks like he'll be playing against us in the pre season friendly.

On the positive at least he won't be playing against us next season.

The one person I blame for this is his agent - then again it is his job to get the most for his client

Pissed off he's leaving because he's a decent player and also for his lack of loyalty. Good player no doubt, but I kinda hope he does crap at Cardiff and rots in the reserves. Is that wrong?

Meh, I can't really argue with the wages Baadiff will be offering and the opportunity to play in Championship and Europe is hard to refuse.

Development wise I can’t help but think he’d have been better off with us for another season before making a move to a side expected to be pushing for promotion and if he doesn’t adapt quickly and hit the ball rolling I can see him struggling.

Jack Smith as a replacement (provided he signs up) is far from a disaster.

you can't blame him or his agent, can you? He's going to play at a higher level, while his agent has done what he's there to do, get his client a new club and earn himself some money.

lets be honest here.yes he's good,yes he looks capable of playing up a division.
but right backs dont win you games.how many points has he gained us with his individual performance?he is easily replacable.
and jack smith has played well the last few games at right back anyway.if someone was to take the proper player of the year away from us easton, he would be much harder to replace imo

That's a bit harsh......Anyone in their right mind would join a club in a higher division, and one who are heading in the right direction. The chance of playing in the UEFA Cup as well......You'd be stupid to turn it down, surely??  :?

Minge doesn't really strike me as a Dave Jones style of player either.  I do hope it all falls to bits and we withdraw the contract offer or offer lower terms on the table.

In fact I wonder if his agent was manoeuvring for a better deal either from us or a 3rd party and Cardiff have blown the whole the whistle on the shenanigans.

Looks to me like the agent was trying to push the Cardiff thing at the town board, probably with the intention of getting a better deal. Then our lot have gone "Ok, We'll call you're bluff" and gone to the media with the mythical Cardiff deal.

Damn right - Good quotes from Malpas. I'm sure Swindon was only ever a stepping-stone club for Comminges, he can easily be replaced. He's good but not an necessity for future progress.

I personally think that one more season here would have been beneficial to him to really get himself into English football but he obviously doesnt think so!

I agree totally with Malpas.  I don't want someone here who constantly wishes they were elsewhere anyway, and like some said hes not irreplaceable.

I think hes been left looking rather silly though as he's taken Cardiff "watching his progress" as wanting to sign him.  Hope he does find a decent club though.
