Code:

    Team   P   W   D   L   F   A   W   D   L   F   A   GD   PTS
1   Man Utd   36   16   1   1   43   6   9   5   4   31   15   53   81
2 Chelsea 36 12 6 0 35 12 12 3 3 27 13 37 8

Oooh it is as well, presuming that one's up to date.

Although with the goal difference it's still in Man Utd's hands. what are their remaining games?

I think Didier Drogba completely sums up what is wrong with Premiership football. Complete and utter lack of respect. Cunt.

Well that's a bit crap. I'm surprised that the Premier League didn't engineer the fixtures a bit better.

See I disagree with you there. He may be a cunt, but what really sums up what is wrong with Premiership football is Liverpool fans.

Personally the result serves Ferguson right, as he seems the Chumpions League is his priority by not playing Ronaldo until the second half.

Its still united's to lose though isn't it. You'd still expect them to win their next two games

Ferdinands temper nearly got him into trouble I see.  Sure Capello will be watching all his "potential captains" like a hawk.  Perhaps thats why Terry was so quick to get his players away from the ref?   :soapy tit wank:

Alot of talk of Gareth Barry being captain, model pro on and off the pitch and a great player.

he's been captain at Villa for years though, probably been a captain longer than anyone else in the England squad but then I've never thought captain is that important....

Title: chelsea v united
Post by: glos_robin on Saturday, April 26, 2008, 16:30:03
And your captain needs to be a guarenteed first choice player for England, I don't think Barry is a dead cert to start every game when all players are fit

Capello seems to like him, i seem to remember him saying he loved 'thinking players' and classed Barry as just that.

Ferdinand kicked a woman steward after the game aswell, while aiming for the wall. Despite that i'd still have him as captain. He's been a good player all his career, but this season he's cut out those silly mistakes he was prone to making and has grown into a real leader.

Post by: lebowski on Saturday, April 26, 2008, 18:44:06
I am guessing that this incident really needs to be seen.

What I will be looking to understand from viewing it is 1) Why he was trying to kick a wall, and 2) How he managed to miss the wall and welly a woman instead.

Post by: Bogus Dave on Saturday, April 26, 2008, 18:46:02
It seems true. Ferdinands said sorry and is going to give the woman some flowers, so its all alright.

I honestly think it could go either way no. Obviously on paper you'd back United to take the 6 points but it only takes one mistake. If they fail to beat Barca it could really put them under pressure for the last two Premier League games aswell.

Am I the only one who is a bit concerned that we are talking about whether or not Ferdinand should be England captain when he can't even kick a fucking wall?!!  It's a great big flat thing in front of you...and if that applies to your woman too, change your woman.

Am I the only one that thinks that the Man U players involved in this ground staff incident (G.Neville, Evra, Scholes and Park) didn't really require a 'warm down' bearing in mind they never even played!

Players from the bench always warm down. If you hang around after game you'll see our lot doing it.
