Thank you to Nicho more than anything else. Probably not given a fair crack of the whip this season and a shame his Town career ended this way... Still think he could do a job.

Zaaboub started off great but frustrated many with his lack of interest. The guy has teh talent he just can't use it. Was useful last season. Sturrock seemed to get the best out of him.

Mohamed, wasn't really that impressed with him but then again he didn't play enough. I wonder what would have happened if he was played up front. I think a return to Torquay is on the cards.

Nicho, meh. He was alright mostly. a few really good games a few shockers.  Cant help but think we could do better if we are looking to be in the promotion hunt next season.

Zaaboub will probablly sign for another L1 club I reckon. Has enough talent that someone will take a gamble on getting the best out of him and stopping him being such a moody french cunt.  Good luck to them with that

The prophet isnt a league standard player in my opinion. Will probably score goals in the conference and I genuinley wish him good luck with that. To those saying he should have been given a chance, why would anyone have bothered when its obvious we have 4/5 better strikers than him, if everyone was fit? play a weaker team just to give him a shot?

Stupid thing is Zaaboub is a pretty quality player, when he first came here on a short term deal he was bloody awesome and had the same hype McNamee does now.

I'm glad they've been released but ive got to give some credit to Nicho for that play off season he had, he was pretty ace that year.

All on the cards I suppose - I think Nicho's a decent player as he can play in 2 or 3 different positions and he seems to have got his act together.

Zaboub's talked himself out of a job and has only himself to blame, and Kaid's done fuck all.

for me nicho was at his best when he was playing behind fat boy Howard, thought they made a good pair with some nice overlaps.  bloody ages ago that though

Understandable but a shame about all three in many respects.

Nicho (faster than a speeding Michael Owen) our longest serving player has been through it all but a change will hopefully revitalise his career for him.

Boob is a shame but the reports are not good and the Byrne incident was probably the last bit of icing on the French enigma’s cake.  He’s one of those players that needs to be ‘managed’ and given the number of clubs and trials he’s had in his career very few people appear to have consistently got the best out of him.  I’m sure he’ll find a club in Europe somewhere.

The Prophet and Bhudda/Jesus are a shame given the hype and potential they had from their departing clubs compared to the ‘ones for the future’ we have had to endure in recent years it’s a pity they never worked out.  I don’t think all the shit and changes of manager and coaches would have helped their development but I’m sure they’ll get on.

Oh and good luck Lloyd all the best and make sure you come back and have a quick lurk in the evenings.  :wink:

Good luck to Nicho he's done a good job for us over a few difficult years. I do think Zaaboub is alright but given his inconsistency and apparant attitude problems it's not a huge shame to see him leave. Would be nice to see Kaid given a crack at League 2 to see how he does, hope it works out for him.

Zaaboub will come back and bite us in the ass. Massive shame about Nicho as well, I rate him.

I think Nicho will end up somewhere like Hereford or Chester imo.
He will stay in the league easily.

Zaaboub will end up at Franchise or somewhere like Luton  :shock:
Then he will end up being superb i should think.

Kaid will end up somewhere like Torquay, Aldershot or Barnet i think, or maybe  even Wrexham as they have been relegated and he was on trial there before he came to us.

I always liked Zaaboub but in order to get anywhere his attitude is going to have to improve.

I actually think Nicho could play in league one and hope he finds a decent club to go to.

Zaaboub I think league two really as his inconsistency overshadows his game.

Kaid I always liked as well but needs to go somewhere with a good coaching set up so he can develop as a player.  Think he can get a league two club though.

Zaaboub will end up being exactly the same as he was here. We'll see him on looking good on The Championship because he's a highlights player. We'll see him setting up goals for someone and looking generally great but we won't get all the attitude, the diving and the lack of interest the rest of the time.

He's too old to change and football will always give players like him another go because of what he can do on his day.

Thinks hes currently making a decision.

Think he'll go though as he said he wants first team footy.

How I read it, is that we have to offer him a new contract because he has played x amount of games, however Malpas has told him he will only be a back up player and wont get alot of games.

Its up to Pook to decide whether he wants to;

1. Be a pro-footballer and go where he will get first team football

2. Be a sqaud player, who never plays, stills get paid and can still get lashed up with his mates in Swindon any day of the week he chooses.


Sadly, I think he's a number 2!

Hopefully Pook will go somewhere where he can get regular 1st team football as that is the only way he will improve - by playing regular not warming the bench, Malpas is basically telling him I'll offer you a contract as contractually we are obliged to but I'd prefer it if you left.

Also reading about what Malpas says about J Smith, makes me wonder what type of contract he is going to be offered, I think he is a good L1 player and can probably get in most 1st teams in L1 but Malpas don't seem to rate him as being that good...different opinions I suppose

I think Nico & Sofi will play L2 next season, although with Sofi he has the ability to be a L1 player but not the attitude or workrate, if a manager can knock that out of him then he will become a better player, your never too old to change though.

I don't see your point. Ok so its not great to have people taking up the wage bill but its not like Malpas has a choice by the sounds of it
