Title: Miguel Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 09:38:54 maybe wrong but got this feeling he is off. Adver states he has this week to decide and Malpas has said we have made a exellent offer to him.As somebody else said Andy King has been to a fair few games recently and im sure he is not watching Jamie Vincent :--
Title: Miguel Post by: Jamiesfuturewife on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 10:00:20 I think he might be off too
If he really wanted to stay he would have signed by now?? Title: Miguel Post by: Matchworn Shirts on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 10:16:06 Pretty sure he will go
Title: Miguel Post by: McLovin on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 10:23:38 Meh. If he goes he goes. He's been good, but i won't lose sleep over it.
Title: Miguel Post by: pauld on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 10:27:18 Could just be standard brinksmanship - e.g. his agent's been touting him round Championship clubs and none have bitten yet but enough have expressed an interest to perhaps turn his head a little or maybe his agent's claiming they have as a lever in contract negotiations. So the club respond by trying to force his hand a little, maybe hope he'll take the bird in the hand?

If he's holding the club to ransom he can piss off anyhoo. Title: Miguel Post by: STFC_Gazzza on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 10:52:11 He has done well here but end of the of the day if he doesn’t want to be here then go. We need dedicated people. No one is irreplaceable
Title: Miguel Post by: my-velocity on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 10:54:54 He is a good player but if he doesn't want to stay he should go..best of luck to him if he does. We got a a good right back still in Smithy..would just need a back-up for him i think.
Title: Miguel Post by: DV on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 10:58:40 oh get a grip, we should try and keep hold of our best players and Comminges has been one of our top performers this season.
Title: Miguel Post by: McLovin on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 11:09:53 Shut up Dan.
Title: Miguel Post by: Tails on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 11:11:46 Hes been good but if he doesn't want to stay, there is no point keeping him.
Title: Miguel Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 11:11:58 Well by offering him a deal that is very good Dan does it not sound like they are trying to keep hold of him.
Title: Miguel Post by: Dazzza on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 11:16:22 Adver news from nowt if you ask me.
I do hope we Jack Smith has done enough to get a contract for next season. He's been unlucky with injuries but on his day he's a class act at right back. Certainly worth holding onto, even if the Minge signs up he offers something a little different in that position. Title: Miguel Post by: fatbury on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 11:48:54 Be good if he signs .. im sure we can replace him tho if he does go.
I expect him to sign shortly however with my new Mr Positive head on :) Title: Miguel Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 11:49:42 Better than the one you currently got. :D
Title: Miguel Post by: reeves4england on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 11:54:32 I hope the minge does stay as he's been great for us, especially since Christmas. We'd definitely need to look to bring somebody in if he left as he's much better at full back than anybody in the current squad.
Title: Miguel Post by: Power to people on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 12:38:51 I suspect that he is going to be off to Plymouth but not rejecting his contract out right just yet gives a slight glimmer of hope
Title: Miguel Post by: Bogus Dave on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 12:42:52 Meh if he don't sign then its no big loss. A team is made or broken by its right back

Title: Miguel Post by: Simon Pieman on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 13:28:25 I'd be very disappointed if he left. We can't let him hold us to ransom though.
He's certainly been in out top 3 performers this season. Title: Miguel Post by: Luci on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 13:43:57 Id be disappointed too but I want players playing for us that want to be here and if he doesn't then I'd rather he went. Hes not irreplaceable.
Title: Miguel Post by: Simon Pieman on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 13:53:43 If he doesn't want to be here but plays proper ace to get other teams to notice him then I wouldn't care. We may even make a tidy profit on him when he did eventually bugger off.
Title: Miguel Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 14:50:33 He is out of contract with two games to go si
Title: Miguel Post by: herthab on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 14:53:06 Cheers for saying bye on Saturday at the Merlin, ignorant bastard.................
Title: Miguel Post by: Simon Pieman on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 14:53:26 I meant if he re-signs, D.
Title: Miguel Post by: lebowski on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 18:43:56 Very good player. Not just my view either, most people have him down in our top 2 or 3 over the course of this season.
If he goes he will not be easily replaced. Andy King has been scouting at the CG quite often recently, somebody obviously in mind and Plymouth are losing a full back who is moving to Charlton in the summer. |
