looking forward to it - saw first series on Sci Fi channel so it will be nice to see this series in Widescreen on the Beeb :)

Christopher Ecclestone's character Claude was my fave - hope he makes another guest appearance in this series

The second season ends at episode 11, which is really bent. That's the last episode i saw.

What would be nice is if the yanks managed to make a series which didn't milk the viewers dry. They seem to go out with the intention of making it last forever, and barely have an end in site. Series 2 of heroes made me realise it will go on for a long, long time. Although it is good, so don't know why i'm complaining again. I'll go and sit back in my box.

I hardly watch any telly so this being one of the shows I have watched, have been really looking forward to this.

Like Bazza said, I fully expect it to drag on and on though. Wonder what the central theme of this series will be as series one centred mostly on the explosion.

I watched the first two episodes online a few months ago, from what I've seen I think series two will be mostly be about ''future" Hiro.

I've seen the new series, its no where near as good as the first one. I can understand where you're coming from about milking the viewers dry, but its really predictable and they emphasise some of the characters too much so it gets a bit tedious.

Tedious may be the wrong word but the second series disappointed me. I put it down to being 11 episodes so they tried to cram alot in and provide an 'ending' which they'll start from for the 3rd.

Peter and Nathan flew up and there was an explosion. Sylar got killed but it showed the blood running down the drain. Si Pie knobbed Claire Bennett silly. Hiro ended up in well into past Japan.

Well that was a somewhat dubious English accent.

I assume that America has lost Hugh Grant's telephone number.

Don't know whether that was directed at my post, but in case it was i'll defend it. Series 2 is ace and isn't slow moving. What i was implying is that it takes Americans forever to bring a show towards a conclusion. What i mean by that, is that series 2 has loads more characters and events introduced, and my observation is that it hardly deals with issues from series one.

I could watch 8 series of it though, so on the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter at all. :)

I think I might be with Yeovil on this one. I managed to watch the first tenish of the first series before I got bored because nothing was happening.

Series 2 is so short (11 episodes against around double on the first series) because of the writes strike in the USA.

It was never going to be this short, however they had to cut it this way.

I have all of the second series in Hi Def and they look so cool - and I thought it was still great.

Cannot wait for series 3 now - hoping it will be the proper length this time !!!

A lot of US tv series are 13 (or so) episodes long as this fits in with seasonal broadcasting.

Didn't Heroes get short because of the writers strike? Loads of other things did.

There are still series than run 20-25 episodes.

The intention to run a similar length to the first series was interrupted by the writers strike, as said already numerous times in the thread, so they rushed to a conclusion. That's why there is loads going on in the first episodes, and throughout the second series but because its rushed it's not as good. that's just an opinion, however i still enjoyed and i'd watch the 3rd/4th/5th series etc.

So the season finale is next week, and I have already seen this week's because I am impatient and catch it on BBC3.

You will see tonight that my man is back, in full effect. I am excited for you.
