Why don't you pay fB to come round and cook something for you....I'd say 12.50 an hour would be a reasonable rate. Title: Dinner Post by: axs on Sunday, April 13, 2008, 19:19:46 i also have no food in the house. the soup I had earlier really hasn't filled me up, neither did the cheesy naan bread at 3am.
Title: Dinner Post by: Chubbs on Sunday, April 13, 2008, 19:23:06 i fancy a curry, but i cant be arsed to go get one.

Alachi in Old Hill, is good for a cut rate take away. Title: Dinner Post by: axs on Sunday, April 13, 2008, 19:26:55 i just went and bought a 99p pizza from the corner shop. Think I'll chop a pepper, chili, and grate cheese on top - it looks more like a round piece of bread with a bit of ketchup at the moment.

Did garlic-roasted prawns in a provincale sauce on a bed of linguine last night, fucking lovely (albeit probably too expensive and time-consuming to do regularly as a student). I had about three or four 1. Cheese and potato pie, mash spud with a load of cheese in bung in pie. 2. Meatloaf, cook up mince and onion, pad it out with soya mince sub and bung in a tin of condensed tomato soup...bake in oven. 3. Risotto....cook some rice, bung in tin of sweetcorn, mushrooms and any other stuff edible to hand. 4 Lentils on toast...cook some lentils sprinkle on toast (courtesy Neil from Young Ones) I vowed once in a job never to eat any of these again. I got a bit fed up of eating specialties such as super noodles on toast and taught myself to cook in my final year. I think it helped that we didn't own a microwave that year either. Family sized pies make for a good meal. You can pretty much have one of them and that's your food done for the day. Just don't stick one in the oven and then fall asleep when you're drunk. There are lots of pulses, that are decent cheap eating, if you can get a bit organised and have a bit of time.....chick peas...for making bad ass felafel. Aduki beans anything that uses mince. Butter beans for lobbing in stuffed vegetables....lentils or mung beans for dal. Dried peas for making thick soup. Mousaka, using kidney beans or borlotti beans. All cheap....make you fart a lot though. Title: Dinner Post by: axs on Monday, April 14, 2008, 16:16:53 mexican style refried beans are lovely.
