It pisses me off people keep going on about how good the championship is - the fact of the matter is that its so close because the teams in it just aren't very good. I personally think the Championship is the best division in England... Unpredicatble, good football, some top players from the Premier League are dropping down now just to get a regular game and is making the division a lot better and more interesting. James Beattie and Shola Ameobi this season. I have actually enjoyed watching Championship football this season. Title: WBA V Watford Post by: Bedford Red on Sunday, April 13, 2008, 10:16:36 The teams who come up this season are all going to be like Derby, there are no teams in the top 6 i can see avoiding being immediately relegated.

I've just realised that Derby are now on the way to taking our worst Prem goal difference record....well done to Paul Jewell....a classic example of a pointless change of manager. Title: WBA V Watford Post by: swindon-chap on Sunday, April 13, 2008, 14:58:28 James Beattie and Shola Ameobi are both shite.
The Championship is just a second home for the premiership rejects. Each team that goes up this season will go down next season. People say teams like West Brom play fantastic football, but they're not walking the league are they? The players in The Championship are just not good enough for the top-flight. Based on that logic, are you suggesting we should do away with promotion and relegation because it is pointless? There are some players at Championahip clubs who are good enough for the Premiership. Maybe not an aweful lot, but if you look at teams like Reading and Sunderland they've gone up and held their own with a bunch of players people assume are shite |
