I just asked my boss if he could get me a sachet of Options white chocolate drink whilst he was in there and he has brought me back a whole box full of sachets!! I think he got a little confused bless him!

i'm just about to take the last bite of my ploughmans; multiseed roll, meat counter (wiltshire, YUK!) ham, organic mature cheddar, branston small chunk and a bit of lettuce.

got an apple, pear and some rachel's organic greek style honey yogurt for desert.

also bagged 6 cans of IPA in the reduced section in sainsburys which i am bloody happy about. 50p each.

I have just finished my curry.

It was proper Indian but I think it was a bit made up. It was Madras-esque but milder and sweeter, the extra special bit was that the chicken was tandoori baked, even the sauce was a bit pink.

Fucking delicious. Indian currys are the best grub in the world IMO.

Oh, and the Pilau rice was top notch as well.

Try some nettle soup or tea.....very beneficial.   This is aboiut the best time of year to pick and cook your netles, once they grow bigger, they get a bit stringy.

Here are some of the things nettles are good for helping...hay fever, arthritis, excessive menstruation, haemorrhoids, rheumatism and anaemia.

Round the back of the Tithe Barn is good.  No the tea doesn't sting.....TBF it probably wouldn't have an immediate impact, its not like a drug, more a tonic.

I sometimes take a Thermos of water, when walking and bung the netttles in to infuse.

Nah, cheating is getting nettle tea bags from Holland and Barrett.

Its an interesting question as to whether gathering form the hedgerows, would have been traditionally men or women's work.  I suspect it may have been men's work....so send the old man.

 :x  Not fair.

I had a bollocking from my gaffer for swearing at customers so haven't had anything yet.

You swore at cutomers?... Ace, please elaborate.

As simple as it sounds really.

Some woman kept missing the point of why her account had been suspended (i.e. she owes circa £3k) and told me she'd pay a letter fee of £35 on another debit card. I asked her if she wanted me to clear the other £2965 while we were at it - a bit cheeky I admit - she said "why are you always so fucking difficult?" to which I retorted "to maintain parity with our fucking customers madam."

Im so glad everyone has such lovelys memories of Bradford

I've always been intrigued by the Blind House, which apparently started out as a chapel, but later was used for throwing driunks  into whilst they slept it off.

Many years ago I read a book by Guy Underwood, which was about dowsing......he was a dowser and developed a theory that many ancient sites, came to be where they were, because of an underground earth force, which suggested a place of significance.  His idea is a bit like feng shui.

He did much of his research in our part of England.  Combining as it did landscape and neolithic archaeology, two of my passions,  I attempted to teach myself dowsing, with no noticeable success.

He expanded teh theory, to include medieval church architecture, arguing that masons,  knew of the earth force and pitched cathedrals and churches etc  accordingly.

So according to Underwood the Blind House was built where it was, came about as a response to underlying earth forces.

There's a bit more to it than just this....he felt plants and animals could respond to the force, more so than us, although we're capable, we need to learn.  I haven't as yet.

Hence the expression "Blind Drunk" ?

Could this be why animals can sense impending natural events such as earthquakes ?
