Bristol Rovers have got a official fans forum team, where they play other fans at the memorial ground and away for charity. Last year I played for Bath City forum at Twerton Park.
They pay around £15 each and you get to play on the pitch, with all the money going to some cancer charity. The game was even filmed and put on DVD, so what ever profit they make on it goes to charity too.

Anyway, maybe we could arranged a game against them at either the Memorial before it gets knock down or even the County Ground (never know?) make money for charity and enjoy it.

They wear the Clubs shirts and it is quite professionally done, even people who don't want to play can help with bucket collecting etc. Just an early idea and stuff, what are everyone views?

I got the Rovers fan email address if anything serious.

They do it against Bristol City on a regular occurance, they have played against them at home and at Ashton Gate.

I'm still recovering from my ankle injury at the moment, but if it were to happen in a few months time I'd be up for it. I'm sure we'd get a team from here without too much trouble.

You want to contact Phil King, he has quite a few good contacts. PM Me if you get it off the ground or whatever.... You could even get a team together and have some of the legends playing on it and auction off places to play on the teams etc?? Say 5 legends plus places auctioned off on one team and the same on another.... just another idea like.....

I just got confused in some sort of flash back whilst typing. Has there ever been a computer where the & was above the 6? Just wondering because it confused me. I'm thinking BBC Micro, but I haven't used a real one in decade or so.

I think we would be able to get at least 16-20 people on here. Even if anyone can only play ten minutes whatever they probably can. The more for charity the better.

I'll stick my name down depending on dates etc.  I can slot in between the defence and midfield, unless the defence pushes up in which case I'll temporarily be at Sweeper.
