I don't really have anything I personally want to ask so I will find out what's been said afterward. I expect 1/2 of it will be about the appointment of Malpas anyway. I also realise I'll be able to go to the AGM, so some of the stuff I'm interested in will be talked about then hopefully.

  I recall one years back, when I quizzed  McMahon, he clearly wasn't a happy bunny and his face was getting redder and redder.  I was sat in the front and I thought he was going to get up from the top table and have a go.

 It was early in his tenure, I asked him about youth policy and did he have a particular model on which to base his plans.  "Yes" says he "ManUre"

 I respond with perhaps that's a bit unrealistic, given that they have the pick of kids nationwide....whereas we don't and perhaps something like Crewe or Norwich might be better to look at for a club our size.

 He was adamant that as they turned out the best young players, they'd have to be the template.

 TBF to McMahon he did put quite a bit of effort into youth development....sacking Trollope and replacing him with the Scouse mafia.  One of the oddities though, is that although the structure put in place was OK, we didn't actually get one decent player from his years.  Well not that I can think of.

Wasn't it around that time that we got to the Youth Cup Semi, playing Everton at home with Jeffers in the side?  It was quite a decent looking youth team at the time but after several made first team appearances they generally all drifted away as I remember.

Disagree, the last one I went to was good, not in so far as what the board had to say, more about how Sturrock conducted himself.  Always thought he was a pretty dour man, but he was quite funny at times.

Hope Maurice has a few whiskeys before the evening and holds nowt back.

It'll be confusing this time.  Last time I voted against everything the board proposed, regardless of how petty it was and whether I actually agreed with it or not.  Sandy Gray tried to stare me out...it was hilarious.

I remember that, how Sturrock decided it was too early to go home so just wanted to sit there and take questions for another hour which he did turned into a good night.

to be fair to Malpas the couple of times Ive interviewed him he has been really chatty before the interview started but then dour once the camera started rolling - Sturrock never really used to be like that - he was dour all the time  - oh maybe except once when he seemed in a very good mood - I think maybe he was drunk??

I guess they'll be a lot of talking points at this Monday's forum. For starters we have Fitton and his view on Malpas and Malpas' view on the future of his squad and his aims. Then we have season tickets. What deal is planned if any and how much will they cost? There's matchday tickets. Then there's Friday night football and Bristol Rovers to talk about. Will be interesting to hear what is said regarding these issues.

 Looks like the majority are content with things as only just over half of the tickets have been taken....which is good to see.

If I decide to say anything tonight, which I probably won't, I'll welcome Mr Malpas to Swindon and explain that not all of us Town fans are born moaners, some of us are quite willing to give the bloke sometime to bring in a few of his players and mould the side into the footballing side that he appears to be trying to put together.  Which must be hard to do with some of our current crop as Sturrock never managed  to do it.

This site seems to be a very small minority on how fans feel about Malpas imo.

Janaaage Malpas has no track record in football management whatsoever.

He got the job because the other candidates wanted to bring in their own backroom staff- a condition for the candidate was maintaining Byrne/Williams.

Askthe MOtherwell fans about Malpas management ability- in his first 3 months for us with a decent squad he has been no different here

Malpas has been involved in football for more years than most posters on here have been alive.  He coached at Dundee Utd, he was part of the Scottish U-21 coaching set up too, where he managed for a while.

Yeah his time at Motherwell wasn't the best but I don't think financially they were that well orgainsed, which couldn't have helped.

Some people seem to be happy to let their opinions be heard via a keyboard but don't seem as keen to say things face to face.

I'm not saying Malpas will always have my support but the treatment of the bloke from some sections has been embarrassing.

Apathetic performances? Maybe MM has not set the world alight with results but after several games under MM various posters have stated just how much they enjoyed the game, or even "The best football at the CG in years". Even some of those on this is mention how much they have enjoyed the football. I think that this speaks volumes really.

My guess is that a few players in key players and next season could be very very exciting for us. I may be wrong, but I may also be right.

There are some other negative posters on here Bart but their opinions are generally taken on board, because they both explain the reason behind their comments, and give credit where it is due.  Aldershot will be good...I've always enjoyed games v them,  not too far and we usually beat them especially at home.  Few embarrassments, mind, like when  :king: scored past Jimmy Quinn in the Skoda Hub Cap.

 Salisbury, could be a good days walking, then to the match ....Hungerford, well its for AF.

A quick synopsis :

CVA...Final payment due 31st May, but it will be paid early.

As previously reported, cost savings have been made totalling £750k, but would like to to be £1-1.25m.

The Three Amigos contracts totalled around £500k...but paid them off with around a quarter of that.

Season Tickets will be announced at a press conference at 3pm on 1st May.

Looking into temporary exec boxes on SB.

Groundshare with Wovers looks like to be off ( :D ) as consultation cannot be completed in time. Been approached by a Rugby team to play matches at the CG.

Pre-season games against Cardiff and Plymuff confirmed, and a game against Pompey could also be happening.

Q&A going up on the site in real time.  Can't fault the transparency there.  Breath of fresh air.

Aldershot (A) is a dream fixture for me!  A few beers in my local, the Prince of Wales, and then a cab to the ground.  Can't wait.

Good to see Fitton talking in positive terms about a possible town centre redevelopment as well.  I never want to see the club peripheralised on a suburban trading estate.  We belong in the town.

Reg - Sutton has the right idea.  We'll organise the TEF muster for the POW.  CAMRA's Hampshire pub of the year for 3 of the last 5 years.  Can't say fairer than that.  (All this may be rendered completely irrelevent, however, by arrival of Ardiles Jnr in June.  Always a possibility that I might not be allowed out again until 2010.)

Lots of interesting points there on the OS. I like the talk of the ground and staying in the town centre etc. Good to see money will be used to make all seats red in the Arkells and relay the pitch. Also good to see the idea of exec boxes being mooted.

Watkins didn't give much away in terms of season tickets in that write up but he did say they have been looking at what other clubs are doing so i guess that can only be a good thing.

Presumably they are thinking of using the idea Doncaster used with "temp" boxes on the Bank.

I know the space exists in the Don Stand, but I'm presuming if they used that it would be a repeat of the Arkells way of doing it, so a section of seating held back for "Executives".  It wouldn't be too much work as the stand is effectively a lego set.

I wonder how this would work though as if they did put them in there then surely when away fan's are in there then they risk the boxes being damaged and as we have to hand over a certain % the ground  to away fan's where would we house them as it would surely severely reduce the capacity of the SB

Not sure where the extra concourse is in the Don Rogers Stand, I have heard that there is another one there that can be opened up I assume it is to the top of the stand to enable boxes but what would reduce capacity in that stand as well, it would have to be looked at which was the more affordable option, i.e. would the loss to ticket sales in that section be offset by enabling exec boxes
