Ben is Chillaxing, watching some old Doctor Who's and thinking about drawing a new avatar.

After sleeping so much this weekend I'm not really tired. Plus the weekend goes all too fast when you have to work in the week - encourages me to stay up that bit later just to stretch it out a bit more.

i have been sorting out my music folder on my pc. it's not been that much fun but it needed to be done dammit.

plus i worked saturday morning so it feels like i've had no weekend  :(

I got bored of CM4, even after the last patch it's bugged as fuck. Also I spilt wine over the CD.

I have been playing Planescape: Torment again a bit recently, and it's a brilliant game. Takes the whole CRPG style (Baldurs Gate, Icewind Dale, Fallout, etc) but takes some of the standard game mechanics and turns it inside out. The character you play in it is a bit of a Captain Jack Harkness with severe mental issues, dying becomes part of the story, which is an interesting way to twist the game. It''s also one of the few games where you can be genuinely evil throughout, evil to an extent which is bit fucked up. I've tried playing an evil character all the way through, but struggle because the the game manages to convey the wrongness about it pretty well. It's not something you can play in the evenings when you can't be arsed to concentrate, partly because it won't run in a window. I recommend it to anybody who has time for games like that if you've read this far.

I've also been playing a lot of Pokemon Blue. I thought about naming all the pokemon I caught after tef posters. You all represent different Pokemon in my head.

I used to hate working weekends. I used to have to do most Friday and Saturdays nights before I quit my Dad's place. Although it wasn't too bad at the time, and if there was something I wanted to do then I could normally claim the Saturday off.

I found myself missing that job the other day, then I actually thought about the shit stuff and realised that it wasn't worth it.

I'll have a butchers. I've probably got roms for a couple of pokemon games kicking about on my harddrive (shhhh...).  Gameboy emulators are easy enough to find.

I'd suck you off for a copy of pokemon gold.

Ace you legend. I knew they reminded me of something but I couldn't figure out what it was. They were awesomely cute. I enjoyed the Doctor Who episode, even if it did take the lame Doctor and Dona missing each other a bit far.

Can't be too long before the new Miyazaki film, although I'm not sure about the watercolour art style. The art in some of his films is nothing short of beautiful.

I have been watching a fair bit of Pertwee recently, but not on Silurians or Sea Devils.

I think I remember watching the Sea Devils serial as a kid, when they used to repeat old Doctor Who's on Friday nights. I'm guessing it was on BBC2. I must have only been about 7. I remember that The Man from U.N.C.L.E. was on before hand. I don't remember much but I loved it as a 7(ish) year old. Oh and Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased).

It's on my list of things to download anyway.

   I particulary liked the Sea Devils....because they lived in Palmerston's forts, which I could see from the flat where I lived....I had a job distinguishing between fact and fiction at the time.

  I still keep an eye out for Daemons when I walk the hills around Aldbourne.

The problem with Pertwee Doctor is that for a lot of the time he's sort of like an Alien UNIT James Bond style agent. Actually that's not much of a problem, it's pretty cool. It's sort of like a family friendly version of the X-Files.

Also Jo Grant would get some. Well if I had a time machine. Although she does suffer from a sort of Big-Face syndrome.

  I liked the fact that the Doctor was grounded....clearly the BBC couldn't afford the special effects and they'd have been shit anyway, so a good way around it.  I slept soundly at night knowing that Lethbridge-Stewart was keeping the planet free from bugs and grubs.

The actor who played the Brigadier is still alive I think. He must be getting on a bit though. It would be nice if he made an appearance in the new series.

It's been a while since a Doctor died, Tom Baker must be getting on a bit and by all accounts he like a drink or dozen, I might add him to my Death Prediction list.

Sounds like just the game I need for the summer...sit in the sun, drink, and be evil...cool.  So which Pokeymon am I (if I even register in the Pokeymon world of your head)?

I've tried to tell a little story with not much but coloured blocks. Did I manage it?

Red meets yellow, they shag, move in together, shag and have a baby (orange).  Orange grows up and moves out, red leaves yellow and finds blue. They shag, move about a bit, but find a place together and shag.

That is my take.  If, however, you'vre tried to tell the story of the Russian Civil War, then I'm sorry I couldn't work out which one was Donekin.

I thought it was Lord of the Rings: Return of the king.

 It reminds me a bit of the first pub video games.  This would have been about 78, and was a sort of tennis game which consisted of a  small rectangle as a raquet, and a smaller rectangle as the ball, which you had to bat across the screen. If you missed it, then you lost the point.

  Years of abuse meant I was hopeless....despite being a pinball wizard as a kid.  I resolved never to bother with games from then on.

They were just too young and it didn't work out. It was better all round and it meant that red met the love of his life. Although obviously as a piece of art it's up to you how you want to interpret it.

Red and blue don't have any baby. They're both getting on a bit by the time they get together, but they live out the rest of their lives in high paced happiness before they fade out together.

Red and Yellow's baby is supposed to be Orange. I think.

I've given this far too much thought.

I thought it represented Swindon v Oxford, Swindon going to play some league team in the Football League merry-go-round, whilst Oxford try to rejoin them but end up going to join the other team in the non-league.

I'm more happy than I should be that there's a valid alternative interpretation. Crazy as it might sound, that might ambiguously work with the adventures of yellow I just started on.

How have all you lovely people spent your day?

I woke up at 4am and layed about on my bed mostly till 5pm.

just once I wish I had something exciting to say in these threads.

Yeah. I make up shit all the time.

I woke up at about 8am, made a cup of tea for my mum, got back into bed and watched School of Rock. When that finished I put on Clerks 2, but I went back to sleep pretty early on and didn't wake up until around 1.30pm.

Then I caught up on the TEF before doing washing up and trying to work on my CV. Browsed the TEF some more, played a bit of pokemon, watched a bit of telly and then tefed it up until now. Oh with a short break to watch the new Louis Theroux shizzle.


That's my actual day. I'm being to lazy to make up something interesting.

I haven't done much, just general chilling in front of the telly, playing some music, briefly playing something on my acoustic and then the rest of the time I have spent on various websites.

I'm about to go to bed. All this chilling is pretty tiring.

Oh yeah. I jammed out for a bit on the old acoustic at some point. I think I played along with the beepy gameboy pokemon music. Actually, that might have been yesterday.

Obviously I drew my new avatar too. I think I did that whilst watching the telly.
