I only got it as my home network is a mess and can't be arsed setting up wireless which would have crap connectivity in my house anyway, as 3 of my neighbours have it and say the conection constatly cuts off, another option was having a massive cable going through the house, so this seemed the best option.

Heard good things about them. The only issue some people have had is that some models don't work on the end of surge protecting multi-way strips.

Yes. I have a wireless network set up but found that it kept dropping out for the kids pc in the basement. Bought a pair of 'ring main network adapters' and Bob's your uncle ! Pretty impressed with it.

I have a couple here - works really well.  Have the PS3 plugged in to one and streams HD films nicely....

Only thing is they seem to want to be plugged into mains only.  If you plug into an extension block they either do not work at all, or if it is the old type of extension with no surge protection they will work fine but the throughput is slowed down massively
