I sat in/outside the savoy, nursed a pint of some random beer, smoked a couple of cigarettes, and read the Guardian.

I'm a middle-class revolutionary me.

An ignored one at that! If all the world failed to acknowledge someone's existence would that person fade away or vaporise or something?

Nah that's what happens if you go back in time to 1955 and stop your parents from getting together. If people fail to acknowledge someone's existence you just feel lonely.

Great idea DV, then if a couple of first teamers get injured in the process I'm sure all the MOB will be very understanding.  After all this is the Wiltshire shield we're talking about (and our local rivals to boot).

the fact that they've been fucking shocking as of late means they should be made to play.

Its another game and hopefully a confidence boosting win.

....and who cares if they get injured? we're not lacking too much in depth and we've got nothing to play for at all.

Exactly. And if we win it we'll have to suffer the touchline mike man announcing us as "Wiltshire Shield winners 2008" for 6 months, like with the copa ibiza last year.

Did we play a Jimmy Davis Memorial Cup Trophy or something against a non-league side once, or did I dream that?

I wonder if we've still got that.

We can use the Wiltshire Shield to reflect the rays of dissent.

It would be good if the WS could concentrate the rays of dissent, to make a sort a sort of RASER,  which could then be used to zap dissenters.

Come on lads lets not get ahead of ourselves, winning the Shield itself is a long way off, but if and it's a big if, if we get to the final, that's reason enough for a celebration surely??  I want a lap of honour before kick off Saturday if we get to the final.

Maybe Saturday could be a MM appreciation day, when was the last time we reached a final?

A sort of Concave Mirror Wiltshire Shield which could focus the rays onto a fixed point?

That's the idea, it could be powered up by harnessing the negative energy waves, in a sort of orgone accumulator.
